Cartilage mimetic gels
A cartilage mimetic gel includes double network hydrogels. The double network hydrogels comprise a first crosslinked network and a second crosslinked network. The first crosslinked network can be formed from poly(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid). The second crosslinked network can be formed from poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide-co-acrylamide).
CLEANING BLADE, CLEANING DEVICE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A cleaning blade includes a contact part coming into contact with a member to be cleaned, the contact part being constituted by a member containing polyurethane rubber produced by polymerizing at least a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. The ratio (M100/Re) of 100% modulus (M100 [MPa]) to rebound resilience coefficient (Re [%]) of the member is 0.25 or more. The rebound resilience coefficient (Re [%]) of the member is less than 25%. The tensile stress at 23° C. and 200% strain of the member is 15 MPa or more.
Chemical products for adhesive applications
The embodiments described herein generally relate to methods and chemical compositions for coating substrates with a composition. In one embodiment, a composition is provided including a first resin, a second resin different than the first resin, and a cross-linking agent.
Polymer, ion-exchange membrane, and structure-enhanced membrane employing the same
The present disclosure provides a polymer, including a first repeating unit represented by formula (I), a second repeating unit represented by formula (II), and a third repeating unit represented by formula (III). The first repeating unit, the second repeating unit, and the third repeating unit are arranged in an alternating fashion, in a random fashion, or in discrete blocks. The molar ratio of the first repeating unit, the second repeating unit and the third repeating unit is m:n:o, and m:(n+o) is from 60:40 to 85:15. The definitions of a, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, A.sup.−, and R.sup.+ are as defined in the specification.
Tire with an outer sidewall composed of at least a diene elastomer and wax mixture
A tire has an outer sidewall, said outer sidewall comprising a rubber composition based on at least one or more diene elastomers, an anti-ozone wax in a content of greater than 8 phr, a reinforcing filler in a content of between 30 and 75 phr, a plasticizer that is liquid at 23° C. in a content of between 5 and 40 phr, and a crosslinking system. This composition has the advantage of being highly resistant to external physical attacks.
Rubber compositions with dissagregated carbon nanotubes
Described are articles including treads and/or other tire components that are formed at least in part by rubber compositions having solid agglomerated material comprising disaggregated carbon nanotubes. Such rubber compositions include a diene rubber component and a solid agglomerated material comprising disaggregated carbon nanotubes that consist of a continuous network of carbon nanotubes that contains 1) voids and 2) aggregates of carbon nanotubes having a mean size d.sub.50 of less than 5 μm, the voids and the aggregates together in an amount that is less than 60% of a predetermined surface area, as determined by electron microscopy imagery analysis, the remainder being the disaggregated carbon nanotubes in the continuous network that do not comprise a clearly defined shape.
Rubber composition and rubber molded product
A rubber composition includes: 100 parts by mass of a nitrile rubber (A); 10 to 300 parts by mass of a white filler (B); 0.3 to 10 parts by mass of a paraffin wax (C); and 0.5 to 5 parts by mass of a dithiocarbamic acid salt-based antioxidant (D). The nitrile rubber (A) has a content of an acrylonitrile unit of 19 to 30 mass %, and the paraffin wax (C) has a melting point of 45 to 100° C.
Dielectric cross-linked fluoropolymer
A polymer composition of cross-linked fluoropolymers is provided, that is generated using a fluoropolymer compatibilizer. The cross-linked fluoropolymers have excellent mechanical and dielectric characteristics at high temperatures, making them useful for such applications as insulation for automotive communications cables and PCB laminates.
PELLETIZABLE FIBER BLENDS
Pelletizable fiber blends are provided, as well as pelletized fibers formed therefrom, and methods of preparing them. The pelletizable fiber blends include short fibers and a binder. The pelletized fiber blend is useful to prepare polymer composites and rubber compositions.
MICHAEL-ADDITION-HARDENING SYNTHETIC RESIN FOR CHEMICAL FIXING TECHNOLOGY
Use of a synthetic resin system as an adhesive for chemical fixing technology, especially for fixing anchoring means in drilled holes, which synthetic resin system includes a) a reaction resin based on α, β-unsaturated compounds, b) a reaction resin based on compounds that include CH-acidic methylene groups, and c) a catalyst, and to related subject matter.
