Provided are fluorine-free, oleophobic layers including one more or polydimethylsiloxane resin layers. The layers can be disposed on a portion of or all of a surface of a substrate. Also provided are methods of making and using same.
Rubber composition comprising a specific hydrocarbon resin
A rubber composition is based on at least: from 60 to 100 phr of one or more diene elastomers, referred to as very low glass transition temperature (Tg) diene elastomers, exhibiting a Tg within a range extending from −110° C. to −70° C., chosen from butadiene homopolymers, copolymers of butadiene and of vinylaromatic monomer, exhibiting a content of vinylaromatic unit of between 0% and 5% by weight, and the mixtures of these; a reinforcing filler; crosslinking system; and from 50 to 150 phr of at least one hydrocarbon resin predominantly composed of units resulting from α-pinene monomers, the resin exhibiting an aliphatic proton content of greater than 95%.
Reinforcing film
A reinforcing film comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive layer laminated and fixed on a principal surface of a film substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a photocurable composition containing a photocurable agent and a base polymer having a crosslinked structure. A frictional force of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer measured with a frictional force microscope at a frequency of 5 Hz is preferably 2 to 5 times a frictional force at a frequency of 0.1 Hz. After photocuring of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer, a frictional force of a photocured pressure sensitive adhesive layer measured with the frictional force microscope at a frequency of 5 Hz is preferably not less than 5 times a frictional force measured at a frequency of 0.1 Hz.

COMPOSITE FUNCTIONALIZED ACRYLIC PROCESS AIDS FOR GLOSS AND SURFACE MODIFICATION
A composite polymer process aid is provided. The process aid includes one or more inorganic mineral fillers and one or functionalized polymers. The functionalized polymers include at least one base polymer functionalized with an epoxy, hydroxyl, β-keto ester, β-keto amide, or carboxylic acid reactive functional group. The composite polymer process aid is in the form of a plurality of individual particles. At least a portion of the individual particles include both inorganic mineral fillers and the functionalized polymers. The composite polymer modifier is formed by a process of: i) blending an aqueous solution, an aqueous dispersion, an aqueous suspension, an aqueous slurry, or a dry powder of the mineral fillers with an aqueous solution, an aqueous dispersion, an aqueous suspension or an aqueous emulsion of the functionalized polymers to form an aqueous blend, and ii) powderizing the aqueous blend to form the composite polymer process aid.
NOVEL CROSSLINKED ALGINIC ACID
Provided are novel alginic acid derivatives and a novel crosslinked alginic acid. The alginic acid derivatives are represented by formula (I) and formula (II). The novel crosslinked alginic acid obtained by Huisgen reaction using an alginic acid derivative of formula (I) and an alginic acid derivative of formula (II).

Superabsorbent polymer composition and method for preparing the same
The present invention relates to superabsorbent polymer and a method for preparing the same. The present invention can provide a superabsorbent polymer in which a hydrophobic material having an HLB of 0-6, a hydrophilic polymer and a surface cross-linking agent are mixed into a base resin, thereby having improved rewetting characteristics and permeability through surface-modification of the base resin.
Cross-linked thermoplastic polyvinylidene fluoride compositions
The invention relates to polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) copolymer compositions that have improved crosslinking efficiency and performance. The PVDF copolymer contains a high level (>14 and preferably greater than 16 wt %) of a fluorinated comonomer, and has a high molecular weight as measured by the melt viscosity at 230° C. and 100 sec−1 of 18 to 40 kpoise. The composition can be effectively cross-linked with a low level radiation (high cross-linking efficiency). The cross-linked composition is useful in high-temperature applications, such as automotive wire and cable, and heat shrink tubing.
