Core2 is an electro-conductive oligomer self-assembling by pi-pi stacking in a column-like supramolecule, a number n of such oligomers is 0, 2, or 4. R3 is a substituent comprising one or more ionic groups connected to Core2; a number s of the ionic groups R3 is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. R4 is a resistive substituent providing solubility of the compound in a solvent and electrically insulating the column-like supramolecules from each other. A number k of substituents R4 is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.
Sol-gel based matrix
A method for the production of a sol-gel based matrix resulting in a sol-gel based matrix with high stability and high porosity. The sol-gel based material may be used for the production of a composite or sensor suitable for monitoring analytes.
Bis-Azo Colorants For Use As Bluing Agents
This invention relates to bis-azo colorants for use as bluing agents, laundry care compositions comprising bis-azo colorants that may serve as bluing agents, processes for making such bluing agents and laundry care compositions and methods of using the same. The bluing agents are generally comprised of at least two components: at least one chromophore component and at least one polymeric component. These bluing agents are advantageous in providing a whitening effect to fabrics, while not building up over time and causing undesirable blue discoloration to the treated fabrics.
MODIFIED NUCLEOTIDE REAGENTS
Labeled nucleotide analogs comprising at least one avidin protein, at least one dye-labeled compound, and at least one nucleotide compound are provided. The analogs are useful in various fluorescence-based analytical methods, including the analysis of highly multiplexed optical reactions in large numbers at high densities, such as single molecule real time nucleic acid sequencing reactions. The analogs are detectable with high sensitivity at desirable wavelengths. They contain structural components that modulate the interactions of the analogs with DNA polymerase, thus decreasing photodamage and improving the kinetic and other properties of the analogs in sequencing reactions. Also provided are nucleotide and dye-labeled compounds of the subject analogs, as well as intermediates useful in the preparation of the compounds and analogs. Compositions comprising the compounds, methods of synthesis of the intermediates, compounds, and analogs, and mutant DNA polymerases are also provided.
Pigments for electrophoretic displays
A polysiloxane-substituted quinacridone pigment is produced by a quinacridone pigment with an epoxy-terminated polysiloxane under conditions effective to cause the epoxy group on the polysiloxane to react with, and bond the polysiloxane to, the quinacridone pigment. The quinacridone pigment thus produced has the polysiloxane grouping bonded to one of the quinacridone nitrogen atoms via a hydrocarbon linking group, which bears a hydroxyl group on a carbon atom α or β to the quinacridone nitrogen atom. These quinacridone pigments are useful in electrophoretic displays.
Ultra bright polymeric dyes with peptide backbones
Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. The compounds have the following structure (I), including stereoisomers, salts and tautomers thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, L.sup.1, L.sup.2, L.sup.3, L.sup.4, L.sup.5, M, m and n are as defined herein. Methods associated with preparation and use of such compounds are also provided. ##STR00001##
INFUSION OF DRUGS
An at least partly implantable system for injecting a substance into a patient's body. The system comprises at least one flexibly bendable infusion needle with a tip end of each of said at least one infusion needle arranged in at least one first housing for penetrating the first housing's outer wall in at least one penetration area and having the respective other end arranged in at least one second housing, the first and second housings being adapted for implantation inside the patient's body, wherein the at least one second housing is provided for implantation inside the patient's body remote from the at least one first housing and wherein the injection needle is sufficiently long to bridge the distance from the at least one second housing for remote implantation to the at least one first housing and further through the first housing up to the outer wall of the first housing. The system further comprises at least one drive unit adapted for being coupled to the at least one infusion needle and arranged at least for advancing the tip end of the at least one infusion needle so that the at least one infusion needle penetrates with the tip end or ends thereof said at least one first housing's outer wall in said at least one penetration area.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR WIRELESS TO POWER LINE COMMUNICATIONS
Methods, systems, and apparatus for monitoring and controlling electronic devices using wired and wireless protocols are disclosed. The systems and apparatus may monitor their environment for signals from electronic devices. The systems and apparatus may take and disambiguate the signals that are received from the devices in their environment to identify the devices and associate control signals with the devices. The systems and apparatus may use communication means to send control signals to the identified electronic devices. Multiple apparatuses or systems may be connected together into networks, including mesh networks, to make for a more robust architecture.
