THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT AND METHOD FOR FORMING SAME
Provided is a three-dimensional object formation method including: a first step of forming a film by delivering a first liquid containing at least water and a hydrogel precursor: and a second step of curing the film formed in the first step, wherein the first step and the second step are repeated a plurality of times.
Sag Resistant Vapor Permeable Barrier Coating Applicable at Low Temperature
Methods and systems of the invention, for achieving a liquid-applicable, aqueous-based coating composition that forms a water-impermeable, vapor permeable barrier coating when applied onto a construction surface and allowed to dry, involve mixing together separate first and second components, wherein the first component comprises an acrylic emulsion, flame retardant, clay, and optionally at least one additive selected from thickeners (e.g., cellulosic), fillers, and other conventional additives; and wherein the second component comprises a freezing point depressing agent with a specific type of thickener selected from the group of associative thickeners, alkali soluble emulsion thickeners, or mixture thereof, to obtain the liquid-applicable coating. The present invention achieves low temperature film formation without reliance upon calcium nitrite, calcium nitrate, or sodium chloride type of freezing point depressing salts. The coating can be applied at low (e.g., sub-freezing) temperatures onto a construction surface such as wood, fiberboard, gypsum, cement, concrete, and other building substrates to achieve an effective barrier membrane.
Process for Making Carbon Articles by Three-Dimensional Printing
Methods for making printed articles from carbon powder are described. Three-dimensional binder jet printing is used to make a printed article from the carbon powder. Methods are also provided for the production of near net shaped carbonized printed articles and graphitized printed articles.
Method for forming excellent multi-layer coating film
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a method for forming an excellent multi-layer coating film of high chroma and brightness and a rich color. With the method, color mottling does not occur easily in the coating film and the design obtained is homogeneous even without strict control of variations in film thickness during coating. The method for forming the excellent multi-layer coating film comprises: forming a metallic base coating film on the surface of the object to be coated by applying a metallic base coating containing a shiny material; then forming a color base coating film by applying a color base coating; subsequently forming a clear coating film by applying a clear coating on the color base coating film; and heat-curing the metallic base coating film, the color base coating film and the clear coating film obtained. In the method, the light reflectance of the metallic base coating film is in a specified range and the light transmittance of the single color base coating film obtained by heat-curing the color base coating film as a single film is adjusted to a specified range.
Acoustically transparent coating
A formulation for an acoustically transparent coating for use on an acoustical substrate comprising a water dispersible binder and relatively large filler particles, and characterized by a high pigment to volume concentration, high viscosity, high shear thinning, and fast drying to enable the formulation to be sprayed in droplets that retain their identity when in mutual contact.
