An ink is provided which can prevent the deformation and degradation of resin products by printed items, and is also suitable for inkjet printing. The oil-based inkjet ink contains a colorant and a fatty acid ester-based solvent represented by general formula (1) shown below and having 12 to 23 carbon atoms in one molecule. ##STR00001##
(In general formula (1), each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represents an alkyl group, and at least one of the alkyl groups of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a branched alkyl group having a side chain of at least 4 carbon atoms.).

Reactive hydroxylated and carboxylated polymers for use as adhesion promoters

A polymer complex is disclosed which is the reaction product of one or more polymers having a terminal or pendant hydroxyl group, or a terminal or pendent carboxyl group, or combinations thereof, with at least one metal complex and one alkyl phosphate. This polymer complex acts as an adhesion promotion agent as well as a viscosity stabilizer when formulated in a printing ink or coating.

The invention relates to a multi-stage curing ink comprising compounds for forming at least one organic matrix, which is cured via radical polymerisation and which curing can be initiated by radiation, and comprising alkoxysilane in a quantity of 10 to 60 wt. %, preferably 20 to 50 wt. %, in relation to the total formulation, in order to form at least one inorganic matrix, which is cured via non-radical polymerisation and which curing can be initiated thermally, the ink also including a structure-reinforcing polymer having a number average molecular mass (Mn) of greater than 3000 g/mol, preferably greater than 10,000 g/mol, and particularly preferably greater than 30,000 g/mol, and the viscosity of the ink at 50° C. is in the region of 6 to 15 mPa.Math.s, particularly preferably in the region of 9 to 11 mPa.Math.s, measured with a Brookfield rheometer using a UL adapter with a rotational speed of 50 rotations per minute.

Ti ink compositions for printing, such as ink jet printing, are disclosed. The ink compositions comprise a liquid dispersion of Ti hydride powder having a mean particle size of less than 10.0 microns; a liquid carrier, and at least one surfactant. Methods of making and using the disclosed inks are also disclosed. For example, a finished Ti product can be produced by printing the disclosed ink composition, such as by ink jet printing, to form a green article, heating the green article to dehydrogenate it and form a Ti containing part. The method may further comprise sintering the Ti containing part to produce a sintered Ti product. In an embodiment, the method comprises printing one or more support materials for the ink composition, that comprises solid particles of a metal oxide, a metal carbide, a metal nitride, a polymer, or combinations thereof.
