Solid drawing material
Provided is a solid drawing material containing at least a resin, waxes, a pigment and an extender, wherein it further contains at least one selected from dibasic acids having 12 to 30 carbon atoms and derivatives thereof, and the resin is at least one selected from rosin and modified products thereof, terpene resins and modified products thereof, petroleum resins, maleic acid resins and derivatives thereof, coumarone.indene resins and derivatives thereof, and isoprene base resins. The solid drawing material can draw smoothly, darkly and finely pictures not only on smooth and non-absorbing surfaces of art paper, coated paper, milk packs, plastics such as PET, metal, glass, white boards, and the like, but also on eyebrows, lips, skins and the like as well as ordinary papers such as wood free paper, drawing paper and copier paper and which can readily be erased from the non-absorbing surfaces.

Polyols derived from farnesene for polyurethanes
A composition is provided for making a polyurethane that may be incorporated in various products, such as a sealant, a coating, a caulk, an electric potting compound, a membrane, a sponge, a foam, an adhesives, and a propellant binder. The composition includes one or more polyols, one or more isocyanate-group containing compounds having an isocyanate group functionality of at least two, and optionally one or more chain extenders. At least one of the polyols is a farnesene-based polyol having a number average molecular weight less than or equal to 100,000 g/mol and a viscosity at 25? C. less than 10,000 cP. The farnesene-based polyol may be a homopolymer or a copolymer of farnesene. The composition may also comprise additional polyols, such as a polyol of a homopolymer or copolymer of a polydiene. Methods of preparing a polyurethane are also provided.
Colour pencil lead
The present invention concerns an extrudable, unexpanded color pencil lead, comprising, by weight relative to the total weight of the lead: between 25 and 45%, and advantageously between 30 and 40%, of a polyolefin; between 25 and 50%, and advantageously between 30 and 40%, of a colorless mineral filler; between 4 and 20%, and advantageously between 5 and 15%, of a pigment coated with or mixed with a polyolefin wax; between 0 and 10%, and advantageously between 2 and 10%, of an additive, and between 10 and 30%, and advantageously between 15 and 25%, of stearate chosen from magnesium stearate, calcium stearate and the mixture of same. It further concerns the color pencil comprising a lead according to the invention.

Solid writing material
The invention aims at providing a solid writing material that does not adversely affect the color changing property of script and can obtain sufficient strength. This aim is achieved by the solid writing material that includes: a reversible thermochromic microcapsuled pigment encapsulating a temperature-sensitive color-changeable color-memorizing composition; an excipient; and a resin; the temperature-sensitive color-changeable color-memorizing composition including at least (a) an electron-donating coloring organic compound, (b) an electron accepting compound and (c) a reaction medium effecting reversibly an electron transfer reaction between the (a) and (b) components in a specific temperature range; wherein the excipient or the resin includes a styrene-structure-containing polymer.

Scented writing instruments and methods for making the same
A scented writing instrument may include a moveable barrel and a writing implement coupled to the moveable barrel. The writing implement may be adapted to emit a selective scent. The writing instrument may also include an outer casing and a top casing coupled to the moveable barrel. The outer casing may have an interior cavity configured to coupleably receive the writing implement and the moveable barrel. The top casing may be configured to extend the writing implement in an axial direction between a retracted position and an extended position. Related methods of manufacturing the scented writing instrument are also provided.

Renewable, Biodegradable Marking Wax Composition
The present disclosure is directed to marking compositions that are derived from environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable resources. Such compositions may be formulated in to writing and/or drawing instruments such as crayons. In various embodiments, the marking compositions include one or more of a structural component, a stiffening and/or laydown component, and a colorant. For instance, the structural component may be an ester wax composed of a diol and diacid, such as where the diols and diacids contain about 2 to about 14 carbon atoms each, such as where the structural component is present in an amount of from about 10% by weight to about 90% by weight, such as about 20% to about 80%, including about 60% of the composition. Additionally, the stiffening and/or lay down component may be a bifunctional fatty acid, such as stearic acid, which may be included in the composition, such as a stiffening agent as well as to enhance smoothness of laydown. A typically useful amount that may be used ranges from about 20% or less to about 80% or more, such as about 40% to 60% or more by weight of the composition. Further, in various embodiments, a naturally occurring, organic colorant may be provided as part of the marking composition.
