Methods and systems for measuring articles of apparel
A method herein is directed toward measuring clothing through image processing. The method comprises capturing a digital image of a clothing article and a reference object with the camera of the portable electronic device, analyzing the reference object in the digital image to determine a scale of the digital image with the processor of the portable electronic device, analyzing the clothing article in the digital image to determine a determined value for each of a plurality of measurements of the clothing article with the processor of the portable electronic device based upon the determined scale of the digital image, and transmitting the determined value for each of the plurality of measurements with the wireless communication transceiver of the portable electronic device, whereby the clothing article is measured with the portable electronic device.
System and method of generating digital apparel size measurements
A novel and useful system and method for measuring an article of clothing (AOC) that may include one or more of an apparel expander (AE) having an expansion chamber configured to be inserted into a cavity of the AOC and to receive an operating fluid (OPF), a fluid distribution unit (FDU) coupled to the AE and configured to control a supply of the OPF to, or from, the apparel expander, a sensor configured to detect contours of the AE when at least a portion of the AE is situated within the cavity of the AOC and form corresponding sensor information, and a controller configured to control the FDU to supply the OPF to the AE to expand the AE when at least a portion of the AE is situated within the cavity of AOC, obtain the sensor information from the sensor, reconstruct a three-dimensional (3D) model of the AOC based upon the detected contours of the AE obtained from the sensor information, and form digital size information (DSI) including information related to the reconstructed three-dimensional model.

T-Shirt Ruler Guide
A t-shirt ruler guide comprises a guide element having a collar notch, frontside and backside markings. The frontside and backside markings comprise a plurality of rulers, and a plurality of guidelines. The guidelines comprise a plurality of shoulder guidelines and breastplate guidelines. The t-shirt guide ruler provides an apparatus for consistently placing graphics on t-shirts. The plurality of guidelines and the collar notch provides consistent placement of the graphics by lining the collar of the t-shirt with the collar notch and the shoulder seams with the shoulder guidelines. This allows the graphic to be placed in the center of the t-shirt or over the left or right breastplate.

METHOD FOR GENERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FABRICATING A GARMENT
An improved method for fabricating a user-generated garment. In one embodiment, garment data related to a predefined or default garment is received, shape and finish pieces of the garment are separated, a template for each shape piece is selected that comprises information about a position and orientation relative to a human body, the shape pieces are assembled in 3D, a finish macro for each finish piece is selected that comprises assembling instructions for assembling the finish piece to the assembled shape pieces, a preliminary 3D garment is visualized on an avatar in a graphical user interface, a garment adjustment process is performed using the graphical user interface to generate a user-generated garment, and fabrication instructions for fabricating the user-generated garment are generated.

Method and apparatus for measuring measurement of two-dimensional pattern corresponding to three-dimensional virtual clothing
A method and apparatus for measuring a measurement of a two-dimensional (2D) pattern receives a plurality of points in a space in which a 2D pattern of clothing is displayed, determines an attribute of an area in which the points are included, measures a length of a line segment using the points based on the determined attribute of the area, and outputs the length of the line segment.
HOODED GARMENT WITH EMBEDDED SIDE VIEWS
Garment with a hood providing a wearer with hood embedded peripheral viewing capability and without compromising a wearer's protection from the elements is presented. Provides hood wearer protection from image recording surveillance state by offering a hoodie with peripheral viewing without exposing a wearer's face, without complicated side flaps, snaps or accessory caps, visors and/or bills.
