This invention relates to urethane acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion with robust dry/wet adhesion and the basecoats prepared therefrom for automotive applications. In this system, the polyurethane dispersion (PUD) prepolymer is based on a combination of polyols and aliphatic diisocyanates. The acrylic portion is based on (meth)acrylated monomers. A combination of this hybrid polymer dispersion and other resins having defined glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) values, organic and/or inorganic rheology modifiers, and different additives including pigment, dispersant, and defoamer are used to prepare waterborne basecoats having modified appearance and performance. The final coatings show excellent dry/wet adhesion to the primer for automotive applications.

Exemplary illustrations include a receiving device for disposal agent, e.g., for disposal agent from cleaning and/or rinsing processes of an application apparatus, comprising at least one inlet opening for introducing the disposal agent, and an outlet opening for removing the disposal agent. Furthermore, at least one loading means may be provided in order to load the receiving device with a loading agent, which may at least delay a deposition of disposal agent on or in the receiving device.

Applicant discloses a two part polymer mix for use in the aircraft industry that is applied with pneumatic mix and spray gun. A two part cartridge is used in the mix and spray gun so the mix is applied immediately upon mixing, but the two components are kept separated unless the gun is applying the mix. The mix cures to form a clear sealant that allows for inspection of cracks and corrosion beneath the sealant. It cures quickly so that the coated part may be further processed, for example in the assembly line during aircraft build.
