Digital Showroom with Virtual Previews of Garments and Finishes

A system allows a user to select designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. The previews provide photorealistic visualizations in two or three dimensions, and can be presented on a computer display, projected on a screen, or presented in virtual reality (e.g., via headset), or augmented reality. The system can also include a projection system that projects the new designs onto garments on mannequins in a showroom. The garments and the new designs projected onto the garments have a three-dimensional appearance as if the garments having the new designs are worn by people. Software and lasers are used in finishing the garments to produce garments with the new designs and the finished garments have an appearance of the three-dimensional appearance of the garments and new designs on the mannequins with the new designs projected onto the garments by the projection system.

Pattern Filling in Garment Pieces
20210076765 · 2021-03-18 · ·

In implementations of pattern filling in garment pieces, a pattern filling system represents a first garment piece as a first curve and a second garment piece as a second curve. The system determines a relationship between the first garment piece and the second garment piece by comparing the first curve and the second curve. The pattern filling system generates a visually pleasing fill pattern for the first garment piece and the second garment piece based on the determined relationship.

Collaboration in an apparel design system

A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Users may communicate with other users on how wear patterns should be applied onto base garments and make changes to the wear patterns or other garment features, while sharing with other users their progress.

Apparel fitting simulation based upon a captured two-dimensional human body posture image

The present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for processing data, a computer device and computer-readable storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring image data of a human body; identifying a two-dimensional posture of the human body based on the image data; comparing the identified two-dimensional posture to a posture database to determine preset parts of the two-dimensional posture; and assigning cloth physical property of to-be-tried-on apparel to a part of the preset parts of the two-dimensional posture covered by original apparel. The present disclosure can greatly improve the efficiency of data processing, thereby improving user experiences.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AUTOMATIC STYLING RECOMMENDATIONS
20210035182 · 2021-02-04 ·

The disclosure herein relates to the fashion and styling industry. In particular, aspects of the disclosure relates to technologies and methods for generating automatic garment-based and outfit-based styling recommendations based upon selected physical body characteristics and garment characteristics that are most critical for good styling. The disclosure provides simplified rule-based styling logic. The rule based logic is using a small set of physical body characteristics referred to as styling anchors to be matched with a garment molds. The matching for a good styling is based upon applying a combination of associated rules of a garment mold specified as a major class definition of a garment type (skirts, pants, tops, jackets, dresses) with a sub-class definition (neckline shape, waistline position, sleeves, length) to provide a do-able and simplified process of personal styling recommendation.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULATING CLOTHES

A method and apparatus for simulating clothes receive a user setting for an area in which shirring is to be expressed in a two-dimensional (2D) pattern of clothes modeled with a mesh including a plurality of polygons, obtain a first line and a second line parallel to the first line from the area based on the user setting, generate inner lines that are perpendicular to at least one of the first line and the second line of the area between the first line and the second line and that have regular intervals, align polygons included in the area of the 2D pattern based on the inner lines, and perform a draping simulation of three-dimensional (3D) clothes corresponding to the 2D pattern in which the shirring is expressed by the aligned polygons.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING A JUNCTION TRACE OF AN ASSEMBLY

A system for establishing a junction trace of an assembly includes a surface model creating module, a processing module, and a material inspection module. The assembly includes a first part and a second part assembled with each other. The surface model creating module scans the first part and the second part to separately establish first surface model data and second surface model data. The processing module establishes assembled surface model data according to the first surface model data and the second surface model data, determines a junction region from the assembled surface model data, and determines inspection points mapped on the assembly according to the junction region. The material inspection module inspects materials of the assembly at the inspection points. The processing module establishes a junction trace of the first part and the second part in the assembly according to a material inspection result.

COMPUTER AIDED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING CUSTOM PRODUCTS
20210026522 · 2021-01-28 ·

A computer-aided design system enables physical articles to be customized via printing or embroidering. A user interface may be generated that includes an image of a model of an article of manufacture and user customizable design areas that are graphically indicated on the image corresponding to the model. A design area selection may be received. In response to an add design element instruction and design element specification, the specified design element is rendered in the selected design area on the model image. Customization permissions associated with the selected design area are accessed, and using the customization permissions, a first set of design element edit tools are selected and rendered. User edits to the design element may be received and rendered in real time. Manufacturing instructions may be transmitted to a printing system.

Apparel products by using fabric templates and laser finishing

Laser finishing of apparel products allows an operating model that reduces finishing cost, lowers carrying costs, increases productivity, shortens time to market, be more reactive to trends, reduce product constraints, reduces lost sales and dilution, and more. Improved aspects include design, development, planning, merchandising, selling, making, and delivering. The model uses fabric templates, each of which can be used to produce a multitude of laser finishes. Operational efficiency is improved.
