Shadow neutral 3-D visualization of garment
A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. Input to the tool includes fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. The tool allows adding of tinting and adjusting of intensity and bright point. The user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
Garment with enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing
A fabric has enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing. The fabric can be denim for denim apparel such as jeans. Software and lasers are used to finish apparel made of the fabric to produce a desired wear or distressing pattern or other design. The fabric allows for relatively fast color change in response to the laser, color changes in hue from indigo blue to white, many grayscale levels, and maintains strength and stretch properties. A method used to make the fabric includes spinning, dyeing, and weaving yarns in such a way to obtain the desired enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing.
Online Ordering and On-Demand Manufacturing of Apparel
An on-demand manufacturing of apparel system includes online customization and ordering of garments, previewing of the garments, manufacturing including laser finishing of garments, and delivery to the customer. Laser finishing of apparel products reduces finishing cost, lowers carrying costs, increases productivity, shortens time to market, be more reactive to trends, reduces product constraints, reduces lost sales and dilution, and more. Fabric templates can be used to produce a multitude of laser finishes. Operational efficiency is improved.
Systems and methods for end-to-end article management
Systems and methods are described for managing articles. The systems and methods described herein may comprise an example method for manufacturing an article. The systems and methods provides an end-to-end manufacturing value chain as a closed system and feedback loop.
MAGNETIC CUTTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A magnetic cutting system includes a magnetic cutting mat assembly. The magnetic cutting mat assembly includes a cutting mat, and a magnetic layer attached to the cutting mat. Magnets releasably attach to the magnetic cutting assembly. A grain alignment guide having at least one opening receives one of magnets to secure the grain alignment guide to the magnetic cutting assembly.

Method and system for automatic garment fit customization
A method for automatic garment fit customization is provided. The method comprising steps for generating a garment by creating two-dimensional (2D) panels, in which the garment comprises a plurality of garment landmarks (GLMs) and a plurality of garment landmark lines (GLLs), which are key locations and lines on a surface of the garment, simulating draping of the garment on a reference body, where the reference body comprises body landmarks (BLMs) and body landmark lines (BLLs), performing a fit evaluation and calculating misfit measures comprising landmark (LM) misfits, landmark line (LL) misfits, and circumferential misfits, performing a fit adjustment for panel alteration operations modifying some of the 2D panels based on the fit evaluation, performing draping simulation with the modified 2D panels, and repeating until the misfit measures fall within a predetermined criterion and determining customized 2D panels that fit the reference body.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PATTERN-MAKING FOR MASS CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTION OF APPARELS
The present invention relates to system and method of pattern-making for mass customized production of apparels. More particularly, the invention relates to height and size customizations which enable customers to get garments fitted to their body measurements. Further, the invention relates to style customization that enables customers to fashion the garment to their style preferences. The system [100] of pattern-making for mass customized production of apparels comprises a computing module [101], an internet [102], user device [106], a design database [103] comprising a product pattern repository [103a] and an order pattern repository [103b], one or more servers [104], a processor [105], a customization input module [107], a user style recommendation module [108] and a comparison module [109]. Advantageously, the present invention achieves unit manufacturing of customized individual consumer orders obtained from an online store, a physical store or through other channels.
Made to measure apparel patternmaking system and method
An apparel patternmaking software that allows the user to select from a plurality of templates for a variety of slopers that can be used to create a customized, made to measure digital sewing pattern for various articles of clothing. The user is asked to provide measurements that can be manually measured or imported from a body scanner or both. Further, the user is prompted to review a list of default, pre-defined design choices for how to adjust a sloper based on the relationship of the inputted measurements with each other (e.g., if the waist is wider than the hip measurement or if the waist is narrower than the hip measurement). The user is allowed to add new conditions and default design choices to edit and alter the sloper. The sloper is automatically adjusted to accommodate the entered set of measurements.
Method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for flattening three-dimensional shoe upper template
A method for flattening a three-dimensional shoe upper template is provided. The method includes providing a three-dimensional last model, obtaining a three-dimensional grid model, obtaining a three-dimensional thickened grid model, obtaining a two-dimensional initial-value grid model, and obtaining a two-dimensional grid model with the smallest energy value. A system and a non-transitory computer-readable medium for performing the method are also provided. The method makes it possible to precisely flatten a three-dimensional last model with a non-developable surface and thereby convert the three-dimensional last model into a two-dimensional grid model.
