Coating compositions comprising a silane modified compound
A coating composition comprising an acid functional acrylic resin and a silane modified compound is disclosed. Substrates coated at least in part with such coatings are also disclosed.
HIGH PERFORMANCE SILICON-BASED COATING COMPOSITIONS
A silicon-based coating composition for a wide range of mold surfaces, which composition is formed from a mixture of constituents comprising appropriate portions of silazane, siloxane, and silane, and optionally organic solvent. The composition, after curing, results in an extreme release product that is non-transferable to the finished part, allowing for proper adhesion of coatings or adhesives to the finished surface without additional surface preparation. The cured coatings are ultrathin, having a thickness between 0.1 m and 3 m, and having a hardness between about 4H and about 9H.

CURED FILM AND LAMINATED BODY
The present invention provides a cured film of a mixed composition of an organosilicon compound (A) including a fluoropolyether structure and an organosilicon compound (C) having an amino group or an amine skeleton, in which, when the elements constituting one side surface (W) of the cured film and amounts thereof are measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), the cured film has an F content of 60 atom % or more and an O content of 17 atom % or more.
PARTICULATE COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCTION OF LOW-WEAR NONSTICK COATINGS, AND COATED PRODUCT
A composition for producing particulate coatings for printing machine cylinders or printing machine cylinder covers that are nonstick and wear resistant. The composition includes at least one sol-gel precursor compound and a mixture of hard solid-state particles, such as silicon carbide. One type of particles has a Sauter diameter d.sub.32 of between 1.0 ?m and 2.0 ?m and the other type of less than 1.0 ?m. A mixing ratio of the two types of hard solid-state particles lies in the range from 1.5:1 to 1:1.5.
Antimicrobial coatings capable of reducing the number of murine norovirus inoculated thereon
The present disclosure provides antimicrobial coatings on a surface comprising a reactive silanol and triethanolamine. In various examples the reactive silane is 3-chloropropylsilane triol. The coating is capable of reducing the number of Murine norovirus and E. Coli inoculated on the dried coating. In various examples, the coating further comprises a mixture of peroxotitanium acid and peroxo-modified anatase sol. The compositions may be electrostatically sprayed on the surface, and in certain examples, a mixture of silanol and triethanolamine is spray-coated on the surface followed by an aqueous mixture of peroxotitanium acid and peroxo-modified anatase sol.

POLARIZING FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, OPTICAL FILM, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND ADHESION IMPROVEMENT-TREATED POLARIZER
A polarizing film, comprising a polarizer, and a transparent protective film laminated on/over at least one surface of the polarizer to interpose an adhesive layer between the surface and the transparent protective film, and the polarizing film comprising, on/over the adhesion surface of the polarizer, an adhesion-improving layer interposed between the polarizer and the adhesive layer. The adhesion-improving layer preferably comprises a compound represented by the following general formula (1):
##STR00001##
wherein X is a functional group containing a reactive group, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, aryl group or heterocyclic group that may have a substituent, and the compound represented by the general formula (1) is interposed between the polarizer and the adhesive layer.
