Adhesive resin composition

There is provided a new pressure-sensitive adhesive resin composition that can have adhesiveness to the extent of being peelable in a room temperature condition, has fluidity by hot-melting, and can finally be crosslinked to firmly bond adherends to each other. There is proposed a pressure-sensitive adhesive resin composition comprising 100 parts by mass of an acrylic copolymer (A), 0.5 to 20 parts by mass of a crosslinking agent (B), and 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of a photopolymerization initiator (C), wherein the acrylic copolymer (A) is a graft copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 5.0×10.sup.4 to 5.0×10.sup.5, contains as a trunk component of the graft copolymer a repeating unit derived from a (meth)acrylate, contains as a branch component of the graft copolymer a repeating unit derived from a macromonomer having a number average molecular weight of 5.0×10.sup.2 or more and less than 6.0×10.sup.3, and contains the repeating unit derived from the macromonomer in the acrylic copolymer (A) in a proportion in a range of 0.1 to 3 mol %.

An adhesive film with excellent cuttability with respect to both a base layer and a surface layer or layers laminated thereon is provided, without significant formation of adhesive burrs in various shearing processes. The adhesive film includes a support member and an adhesive layer laminated on at least one side of the support member. The adhesive layer has a laminate structure having a base layer made of a resin-based adhesive and laminated on the surface of the support member and a surface layer made of a resin-based adhesive and laminated on the base layer. The base layer is non-directional and has lengthwise and widthwise shearing strengths of 2 g to 2000 g [200 mm/min, 25 mm] in the thickness range of 2 μm to 60 μm. The base layer has a shearing strength of 1.5 to 200 times the shearing strength of the surface layer.

Solventless composition and method for preparing the same

Provided are a solventless composition and a method of preparing the same. Here, the solventless composition may effectively manufacture a film that is uniform without substantial deviation in thickness and has a large but uniform thickness or an excellent physical property such as thermal resistance during manufacture of a film. In addition, the composition of the present invention does not induce contamination during the manufacture of the film. Furthermore, by preventing gelation or phase separation of components of the composition, the composition capable of manufacturing a substrate film having an excellent physical property such as optical transparency, thermal resistance and dimension stability may be provided.

An adhesive film for polarizing plates includes a (meth)acrylic copolymer obtained by polymerizing about 15 wt % to about 30 wt % of a (meth)acrylic monomer having a hetero-alicyclic ring. The adhesive film has a storage modulus (G′) of about 30 kPa or greater as determined from Frequency sweep testing at 85° C. by oscillation at an angular speed of 10.sup.−3 rad/s to 10.sup.2 rad/s. An adhesive composition for the same, a polarizing plate including the same, and an optical display device including the same are also disclosed.

Double initiated fast crosslinking EVA adhesive film

The invention provides a dual-initiated and fast cross-linked EVA (ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer) film for the encapsulation of solar modules, which greatly enhances the speed of the encapsulation. The EVA film is mainly prepared from the following raw materials: 100 parts by mass of ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, 0.01 to 1.5 parts by mass of a free-radical photoinitiator, 0.01 to 1.5 parts by mass of a free-radical thermal initiator, 0.5 to 10 parts by mass of an auxiliary cross-linking agent, 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of a tackifier and 0.01 to 5 parts by mass of a light stabilizer. The present invention adds photothermal dual-initiated free-radical initiators and the auxiliary cross-linking agent of multi-functional acrylates or methacrylates to the EVA and use a thermal-UV dual curing process to prepare the solar module. The curing time is shorten to 5 to 10 min and the yield is high; meanwhile, the EVA film has advantages of uniform curing, high crosslink density, high bonding strength between the film and glass, and good anti-aging property.

PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE FOAM

The present disclosure relates to a pressure sensitive adhesive foam comprising a rubber-based elastomeric material and at least one hydrocarbon tackifier, wherein the hydrocarbon tackifier(s) have a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) value of less than 1000 ppm and a Volatile Fogging Compound (FOG) value of less than 1500 ppm, when measured by thermogravimetric analysis according to the weight loss test methods described in the experimental section. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a pressure sensitive adhesive foam and uses thereof.
