Fluorine and hydrogen-based adhesive compositions and methods of making the same
Embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to adhesive compositions that include a fluorinated molecule and a hydrogen-containing molecule that are non-covalently associated with one another. The molecules may be non-covalently associated with one another through dipole-dipole interactions that create a fluorine-hydrogen electronegativity difference between at least some of the fluorine atoms of the fluorinated molecule and at least some of the hydrogen atoms of the hydrogen-containing molecule. The fluorinated molecule and the hydrogen-containing molecule may be in different phases, such as a liquid phase for one molecule and a solid phase for the other molecule. Additional embodiments pertain to methods of enhancing an adhesiveness of a surface by applying an adhesive composition of the present disclosure to the surface. Further embodiments pertain to methods of making the adhesive compositions by mixing a fluorinated molecule with a hydrogen-containing molecule such that the molecules become non-covalently associated with one another.

Adhesive Containing Microparticles
Methods for forming and incorporating microparticles containing one or more active agents into adhesives are described. The methods involve spray drying a liquid of the one or more active agents and obtaining the active agent in a particulate form. The dry powder is then blended or otherwise incorporated with the adhesive of interest. Also described are various medical products utilizing the adhesive and one or more active agents in microparticle form, and related methods of use.

METHOD FOR SEPARATING JOINED OBJECT
To provide a separation method for a joined object for display device, by which PSA can be peeled off even when the PSA is tightly bonded to a member in the joined object. Provided is a method for separating a joined object for display device. In this method, the joined object comprises two members joined with a PSA comprising a hydrophilicity enhancer. The method comprises a step of peeling the PSA from the member by supplying steam towards the PSA.
WATERBORNE ADHESIVES FOR REDUCED BASIS WEIGHT MULTILAYER SUBSTRATES AND USE THEREOF
The adhesive composition comprising emulsion polymers and microspheres and articles made therefrom are provided. The adhesive is particularly suitable for packages for consumer products that provide sufficient strength and thermal insulation while reducing the overall basis weight of the substrates.

ADHESIVE SHEET, DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME, COMPOSITION FOR FORMING ADHESIVE LAYER USED FOR PRODUCTION OF ADHESIVE FILM
Provided are an adhesive sheet that can reduce reflectance, increase luminance and reduce thickness of a display device, a display device using the adhesive sheet, and a composition for forming adhesive layer used for producing the adhesive sheet. An adhesive sheet comprising a first adhesive layer containing an adhesive and a dye, and an ultraviolet absorbing layer laminated on one surface side of the first adhesive layer, wherein the dye contains a first coloring material having a maximum absorption wavelength in the range of 470 to 530 nm and a half width of the absorption spectrum of 15 to 45 nm, and a second coloring material having a maximum absorption wavelength in the range of 560 to 620 nm and a half width of the absorption spectrum of 15 to 55 nm, and the ultraviolet absorbing layer has an ultraviolet shielding rate of 85% or more according to JIS L 1925.
Asphalt shingle waste adhesive compositions for roofing applications and related methods
Non-limiting embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method comprising: obtaining asphalt shingle waste (ASW) and performing grinding, screening, and separating steps on the ASW. In some embodiments, granules are removed from the ASW. In some embodiments, the method transforms ASW into ASW powder. In some embodiments, the ASW powder is formed into a plurality of briquettes. In some embodiments, at least one of: the ASW powder, the plurality of briquettes, or any combination thereof is fed into a mixing process that results in an ASW powder filled coating. In some embodiments, the ASW powder is formed into an adhesive composition.
Microfibrillated cellulose as a crosslinking agent
The present invention relates to a composition for use as an adhesive, paint, coating, resin, (surface) size, composite, gel or hydrogel, said composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose (“MFC”). In addition to microfibrillated cellulose, these compositions comprise at least one solvent, said solvent preferably comprising or consisting of water, and at least one compound that is (a) capable of polymerizing, or has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, preferably OH groups, that are capable of crosslinking with at least one functional group of the microfibrillated cellulose. In these compositions, the microfibrillated cellulose primarily functions as a crosslinking agent (while it is by no means excluded that the microfibrillated cellulose additionally has other functionalities, such as acting as viscosity modifier and/or thixotropic additive), integrating the compound that (a) is capable of polymerizing or that has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, into a gel-like three-dimensional network.
