The carbon black filler converts the phenoxy resin thermoplastic component from a material that transmits infra-red (IR) wavelengths to a material that absorbs a substantial portion of infra-red (IR) wavelengths.

LIQUID MOLDING COMPOUND FOR PROTECTING FIVE EDGES OF SEMICONDUCTOR CHIP AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A liquid molding compound for protecting five edges of a semiconductor chip and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The liquid molding compound includes 15 to 40 parts by mass of an epoxy resin, 15 to 35 parts by mass of a curing agent, 0.1 to 3 parts by mass of a curing accelerator, 4 to 15 parts by mass of a toughening agent, 75 to 150 parts by mass of an inorganic filler, and 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of a coupling agent. The epoxy resin is one or more selected from the group consisting of a bisphenol A epoxy resin, a bisphenol F epoxy resin, and a biphenyl epoxy resin. The toughening agent is an adduct of an epoxy resin and a carboxyl-terminated liquid butyronitrile rubber, and the curing agent is a phenol-formaldehyde resin. The molding compound has a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE).

A polarizing plate and an optical display comprising the same are disclosed. The polarizing plate includes: a polarizer and a first protective layer stacked on one surface of the polarizer via a bonding layer, wherein the bonding layer is formed of a bonding layer composition including an epoxy compound and a photocationic initiator, and the polarizing plate has a chrominance variation ΔE of 5.2 or less, as calculated by Equation 1.

An object of the present invention is to provide a curing catalyst, a resin composition, a sealing material, an adhesive agent, and a cured product, which have good characteristics. A curing catalyst for epoxy resin, which contains an epoxy imidazole adduct having structural formula (I) below, is prepared. Furthermore, a resin composition containing the curing catalyst, a sealing material or an adhesive agent each containing the resin composition, and a cured product obtained by curing the resin composition are prepared. (In the formula, R.sup.1 is a group selected from hydrogen, phenyl, and C1-C17 alkyls, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently a group selected from hydrogen and C1-C6 alkyls.)

An object of the present invention is to provide a curing catalyst, a resin composition, a sealing material, an adhesive agent, and a cured product, which have good characteristics. A curing catalyst for epoxy resin, which contains an epoxy imidazole adduct having structural formula (I) below, is prepared. Furthermore, a resin composition containing the curing catalyst, a sealing material or an adhesive agent each containing the resin composition, and a cured product obtained by curing the resin composition are prepared. (In the formula, R.sup.1 is a group selected from hydrogen, phenyl, and C1-C17 alkyls, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently a group selected from hydrogen and C1-C6 alkyls.)

ADHESIVE FILM
The present invention relates to an adhesive film comprising an adhesive layer; a photothermal conversion layer containing a light absorber and a thermally decomposable resin; and an adhesive base film layer disposed between the adhesive layer and the photothermal conversion layer, wherein the adhesive base film layer contains a multifunctional epoxy resin, a binder resin, a curing agent, and a curing catalyst. The adhesive film according to the present invention may be able to simplify a processing process of a substrate, and prevent damage to the substrate and circuits or elements formed on the substrate.
