Assembly of timepiece parts assembled using repositionable hot melt adhesive and process for assembling and repositioning such parts
An assembly of timepiece parts assembled together with an adhesive at a temperature T.sub.A and to be repositioned when the adhesive is at a temperature T.sub.C. The adhesive includes a formulation, which at T.sub.C includes a mixture of polymer chains with pendant diene units X and coupling molecules including two dienophile end groups Y, wherein the X units and the Y groups are arranged to react with one another and to bond together with the Diels-Alder reaction at a temperature T.sub.DA and to regenerate with the retro-Diels-Alder reaction at a temperature T.sub.RDA, at T.sub.A forms a three-dimensional network, in which the polymer chains are linked to one another by the coupling molecules with the Diels-Alder reaction, where T.sub.A<T.sub.RDAT.sub.C, where temperature T.sub.DA ranges between 0 C. and 100 C. and temperature T.sub.RDA ranges between 50 C. and 200 C., and T.sub.DA is strictly lower than T.sub.RDA. A process for assembling and repositioning two timepiece parts with a repositionable hot melt adhesive to enable the timepiece parts to be repositioned when the adhesive is heated.
REACTIVE 2-COMPONENT ADHESIVE SYSTEM IN FILM FORM HAVING IMPROVED HEAT-AND-HUMIDITY RESISTANCE
The present invention relates to a reactive adhesive film comprising (a) a polymeric film-forming matrix, (b) at least one reactive monomer or reactive resin, and (c) a reagent selected from an initiator, in particular a radical initiator, or an activator, featuring enhanced heat-and-humidity resistance, and to a reactive 2-component adhesive system in film form for bonding diverse materials, such as, for example, metal, wood, glass and/or plastic material.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION HAVING ANTI-FOGGING PROPERTY
The present invention aims to provide an adhesive composition having excellent adhesive property and excellent anti-fogging property by way of simple and easy means such as co-extrusion with a substrate film, extrusion coating, solvent coating, etc. According to the present invention, there is provided an adhesive composition, characterized in that it contains a polyester resin (A) and an anti-fogging agent (C), and satisfies the following requirement (1):
(1) Glass transition temperature of the polyester resin (A) is from 30 to 30 C.

An adhered composite includes (i) a polar thermoset substrate; (ii) optionally a primer layer disposed on the polar thermoset substrate; (iii) a first adhesive layer adhesively mated to the polar thermoset substrate, optionally with the primer layer disposed between the first adhesive layer and the polar thermoset substrate; (iv) a first layer of cured non-polar rubber adhesively mated to the first adhesive layer; (v) a second adhesive layer adhesively mated to the first layer of cured non-polar rubber; and (vi) a second layer of cured non-polar rubber forming an outer surface of the composite.
SOLVENT COMPOSITION, ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, AND METHOD OF BONDING SURFACES
In an embodiment a solvent composition can comprise, based on the total volume of the solvent composition, 10 to 95 volume percent of a first solvent, wherein the first solvent has Hansen solubility parameters of: 15 MPa.sup.0.5.sub.D17 MPa.sup.0.5, 4.sub.P10.5 MPa.sup.0.5, and 7.sub.H10 MPa.sup.0.5; 5 to 95 volume percent of a second solvent, wherein the second solvent has Hansen solubility parameters of: 16 MPa.sup.0.5.sub.D17.5 MPa.sup.0.5, 0.sub.P3 MPa.sup.0.5, and 0.sub.H3 MPa.sup.0.5; and 0 to 85 volume percent parachlorobenzotrifluoride; wherein the amounts of the first solvent, the second solvent, and parachlorobenzotrifluoride sum to at least 85 volume percent. The first solvent can comprise methyl acetate, acetone, dimethyl carbonate, ethyl acetate, n-butylamine, propyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran, or a combination thereof. The second solvent can comprise cyclohexene, cyclohexane, cyclopentane, methylcyclohexane, or a combination thereof. The solvent compositions are particularly useful in an adhesive composition. An adhesive composition includes the solvent composition, a rubber, and a tackifying resin. A method of bonding two surfaces is also described.
HOT-MELT PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVED RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
An adhesive compositions containing at least one first styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer having a diblock content of not less than 45%, at least one second styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer having a styrene content of not more than 30 wt.-%, at least one first tackifying resin having a softening point of equal to or higher than 100 C., and at least one second tackifying resin having a softening point of equal to or higher than 120 C. Further, a method for bonding substrates together using the adhesive composition.
Composite for the Production of Filmless Laminates
A composite for the production of filmless sailcloth laminates with an adhesive film and a textile layer including: a thermoplastic plastic film as adhesive film containing a thermally activatable crosslinking agent dispersed therein, as carrier, and a textile layer which is adhesively bonded to the thermoplastic plastic film; wherein the plastic film and the textile layer are adhesively bonded together by the effect of heat at a first temperature which does not activate the crosslinking agent, and the composite is bondable to a substrate by the effect of heat at a second temperature which is higher than the first temperature and causes crosslinking to take place.
Chemical-resistant polyester pressure-sensitive adhesive
Polyester pressure-sensitive adhesives are described. The polyester includes at least two different diacid residues and at least two different diol residues. The at least two different diacid residues include, based on the total moles of the at least two diacid residues, 20 to 80 mole percent of a residue of at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and 20 to 80 mole percent of at least one of a residue of adipic acid or sebacic acid. The polyesters may include at least one pendant group containing an alkenyl group.
SIDING PANEL AND ASSEMBLY
A composite siding panel mountable on an exterior wall of a building includes a backing member and a siding member attached to the backing member, wherein the first side edge of the siding member overhangs the first side edge of the backing member, and the second side edge of the siding member is aligned with or positioned contiguously with the second side edge of the backing member. An adhesive coating joins the front face of the backing member to the rear face of the siding member. The adhesive coating runs substantially from the first side edge of the backing member to the second side edge thereof. The backing member can be composed of closed-cell expanded foam or wire-fabricated foam, and the siding member can be formed from vinyl, polypropylene, aluminum, steel, fiberglass, engineered wood, or fiber cement. A siding assembly including a plurality of composite siding panels adjacently mountable on an exterior wall of a building is also disclosed.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT, AND BONDED BODY
An adhesive composition which is excellent in adhesion to various hardly adhesive materials such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene, polypropylene, modified polyphenylene ether, polyphenylene sulfide, and a cycloolefin polymer. Further, an adhesive composition containing the following components (A) to (C) may be described Component (A): (Meth) acrylic triblock elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of 80,000 or more, Component (B): (Meth) acrylate monomer having no hydroxyl group and having a phenoxy group, and Component (C): Radical initiator.
