A METHOD OF BONDING TOGETHER SURFACES OF TWO OR MORE ELEMENTS AND A PRODUCT MADE BY SAID METHOD
A method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements. The method includes the steps of providing two or more elements, applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other, and curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
Method of providing insulation to a structure
The present invention relates to a method of providing thermal and/or acoustic insulation to a structure, comprising the steps of: providing a substrate which comprises fibres; applying the substrate to the structure; blending the substrate with a binder composition before, during or after application of the substrate to the structure; allowing curing of the binder composition after the substrate and the binder composition have been applied to the structure; wherein the binder composition comprises at least one hydrocolloid. The present invention also relates to an insulated structure obtainable by said method.
Biobased hot-melt adhesive including lignin as a component
The present invention relates to an adhesive mixture, containing one or more cohesive polymers, one or more tackifiers and optionally one or more separate plasticizer, wherein at least one tackifier is selected from lignin or derivatized lignin. The invention also relates to the use of lignin or derivatized lignin as adhesion promoting components in particularly hot-melt or pressure-sensitive adhesives
SELF-SUPPORTING VISCIN FILMS AND SCAFFOLDS, USES THEREOF AND METHODS FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The invention relates in a first main aspect to self-supporting mistletoe viscin films comprising a 2-dimensional multi-axial oriented array of viscin cellulose filaments within a humidity-responsive matrix and methods for preparing the same. A further aspect relates to 2D and 3D mistletoe viscin scaffolds and methods for preparing the same. Another main aspect of the invention relates to the use of mechanically isolated mistletoe viscin or of said self-supporting mistletoe viscin films for joining or binding together a plurality of materials with diverse surface characteristics and to an adhesive comprising such viscin films and/or 2D or 3D viscin scaffolds. In more specific embodiments, the invention relates to a wound sealant and coating composition or to a medical kit comprising mechanically isolated mistletoe viscin in the hydrated/wet state and a plant oil, or a dried viscin film for use, after rehydration under humid conditions, as a wound sealant.
FLAME- AND SMOKE-RETARDANT ADHESIVE PACKAGES AND INSULATION PRODUCTS
An antimony-free adhesive package useful for making an insulation facing material includes a halogenated latex adhesive, a flame/smoke suppressant such as aluminum trihydrate, an intumescent such as aluminum polyphosphate, melamine powder, a melamine cyanurate, a mold and mildew inhibitor, an optional dispersant, an optional water holding agent, and optionally between 3% and 10% of a zinc molybdate/magnesium silicate complex and between 3% and 10% of a zinc phosphate/zinc oxide complex. Insulation facing material made with the adhesive package has a flame spread value that does not exceed 25, and a smoke developed value that does not exceed 50, and meets the applicable standards for operating temperature, anti-corrosiveness, corrosion, puncture resistance, water vapor transmission, water vapor sorption, shrinkage, microbial growth resistance, and water immersion bond integrity. The facing stock may be used to face insulation products such as rolls, batts, boards or molds of fiberglass or mineral wool insulation.
A METHOD OF PRODUCING A MINERAL WOOL PRODUCT COMPRISING A MULTIPLE OF LAMELLAE AND A PRODUCT OF SUCH KIND
A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
MINERAL WOOL PRODUCTS
The invention relates to a mineral wool product comprising mineral fibres bound by a cured binder wherein the binder in its uncured state comprises at least one protein, and at least one enzyme.
CIGAR GLUE AND METHOD OF USE
Cigar repair glues containing a quantity of insoluble fibers and methods of repairing cigars using such fiber-containing glues. Fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may be prepared by mixing a quantity of glue or adhesive with a quantity of insoluble or substantially insoluble fiber, such as cellulose fibers. The method of using the fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may include various steps, which may include: identifying an air leak or discontinuity in a cigar wrapper; preparing the fibrous or matting glue to encourage fiber mixing/suspension; and applying the prepared fibrous or matting glue to the desired location on the cigar.
TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE FOR STOMA AND ADHESIVE TAPE FOR STOMA COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to an adhesive for a stoma and an adhesive tape for a stoma comprising the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to: an adhesive for a stoma, which can be attached to an affected part, having high adhesion, and has improved functionality for easy detachment from the skin; and an adhesive tape for a stoma comprising the same.
MINERAL WOOL BINDER
The invention relates to a formaldehyde-free binder composition for mineral fibres comprising at least one phenol and/or quinone containing compound, and at least one protein.
