SELF-STICK INSULATION AND METHODS
A method of using a self-stick insulation. The method includes providing a piece of insulation product with an adhesive coating. The adhesive coating includes polystyrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) and/or polyacrylic acid (PAA); an alcohol amine; and at least one of a polyvinyl alcohol and a starch. The adhesive coating is then activated with liquid water. Once the adhesive coating is active, the insulation product is attached to a surface with the adhesive coating.
STARCH-CONTAINING ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to aqueous adhesive compositions comprising a starch, in particular to starch-based adhesives for bonding paper products. Provided is an aqueous adhesive composition comprising a starch derivative and a clay, wherein said starch derivative is a highly branched starch (HBS) obtained by treatment of starch or starch derivatives with a glycogen branching enzyme (EC 2.4.1.18), and wherein the weight ratio of said HBS to said clay is within the range of from about 1:1 to 1:4.
Linerless receipts and labels
A labeling system for use with containers, comprising at least one linerless label, wherein the at least one linerless label is adapted to receive printing thereon; a substrate for receiving the label and to which the label becomes permanently bound after the label has been attached to the substrate; a first adhesive, wherein the first adhesive is a repositionable adhesive; a second adhesive, wherein the second adhesive is a remoistenable adhesive that includes predetermined amounts of polyvinyl alcohol, dextrin, and at least one humectant, and wherein the adhesives are deposited on the label prior to attaching the label to the substrate.

MINERAL WOOL PRODUCT
A method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements, whereby at least one of the two or more elements is a mineral wool element, said mineral wool element(s) being bound by a mineral wool binder, comprises the steps of providing two or more elements; applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other, curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one protein; at least one phenol and/or quinone containing compound, and/or at least one enzyme.
Adhesive having structural integrity and insulative properties
An adhesive composition that provides improved structural integrity and insulative properties when applied to a substrate is provided. The adhesive composition includes an emulsion-based polymer, a plurality of microspheres; and optionally, water and plasticizer.
Starch-based glue composition
A highly homogeneous starch-based glue composition is obtained by enzymatic modification of the starch with a branching enzyme which is supplied in an enzymatically modified starch with high long-term stability. The starch has a viscosity stability index SI of less than or equal to 1.3, calculated by the quotient of viscosity after 14 days and by viscosity after 2 hours after preparation of the starch. The starch is suitable for liquid storage, which is stable in the long-term, of a ready-to-use paste with a high bonding strength.
Switchable adhesive and objects utilizing the same
A carpet material with at least one of its components made easier for recycle by use of an adhesive which can be selectively altered to change the adhesion strength to allow component carpet layers to be separated.
IMPROVED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVES USED FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
Adhesive compositions are described which include one or more gelling agents in combination with one or more non-gelling disintegrants. The adhesive compositions exhibit relatively high fluid handling capacities and static absorption properties, thus enabling their use in a wide range of medical applications. Various adhesive articles such as dressings and related methods of use are also described which utilize the adhesive compositions. In preferred embodiments the adhesive component is an acrylic adhesive, the gelling agent is selected from the group consisting of (i) carboxymethyl cellulose, (ii) superabsorbent polymer, and (iii) combinations of (i) and (ii), and the non-gelling disintegrant is selected from the group consisting of (i) fully pregelatinized potato starch, (ii) microcrystalline celluloseand (iii) combinations of any of (i)-(ii).
