To solve this problem an adhesive tape is proposed that has in the following order:—a carrier layer without barrier effect at least towards water and with a WVTR of at least 1 g/(m.sup.2*d) (38° C., 90% relative humidity, 50 μm layer thickness); —a layer comprising at least one getter material capable of sorbing at least water; —a water barrier ply; and—a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive, where the carrier layer bears an outward-facing release layer and/or the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive is lined with a release liner which has a release layer lying on the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive.
INSULATING TAPE
Provided is an insulating tape to be used in a nonaqueous secondary battery, the insulating tape being capable of maintaining its insulating property even under a severe environment, e.g., even when being heated, and being capable of improving the safety of the nonaqueous secondary battery. Specifically, provided is an insulating tape for a nonaqueous battery, including a base material, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged on one side, or each of both sides, of the base material, in which the base material and/or the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer each contain/contains an insulating inorganic filler. Also provided is an insulating tape for a nonaqueous battery, including a base material with an insulating layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged on one side, or each of both sides, of the base material with the insulating layer, in which the insulating layer contains an insulating inorganic filler.
PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE ARTICLE
Provided is a pressure sensitive adhesive article comprising (a) a substrate (Sa) (b) in contact with the substrate (Sa), a layer (Lb) of a pressure sensitive composition (Cb) that comprises one or more acrylic polymer (POLb) having Tg of 20° C. or lower, and (c) in contact with the layer (Lb), a layer (Lc) that comprises, (i) one or more acrylic polymer (POLc) having Tg of 20° C. or lower, and (ii) one or more olefin copolymer. Also provided are a method of making the pressure sensitive adhesive article and a bonded article made by using the pressure sensitive adhesive article.
Hot Melt Adhesive for Polyolefin Films
A hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive comprises a) 25 to 95 wt %, preferably 50 to 85 wt % of at least one polyolefin-based polymer; b) 1 to 75 wt %, preferably 1 to 40 wt % of at least one tackifying resin; c) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one plasticizer; and d) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additive and/or adjuvant selected from among stabilizers, adhesion promoters, fillers or pigments, waxes, and/or other polymers or combinations thereof,
characterized in that the at least one polyolefin-based polymer is a mixture of: a1) at least one first polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of <10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer, and a2) at least one second polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of >10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer. The adhesive is particularly useful for gluing polyolefin films, woven fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics. Also, methods for manufacturing packaging and fabric with the hot-melt adhesive above are disclosed.
Base polymer for hot-melt adhesive agent, and hot-melt adhesive agent
Provided is a hot-melt adhesive which satisfies both solidification rate and adhesiveness. A base polymer for a hot-melt adhesive which satisfies the following (1) and (2): (1) a modulus of elasticity in tension at 23° C. is 400 MPa or less; and (2) a semi-crystallization time at 23° C. is 20 minutes or less.
COMPOSITION FOR THE PROTECTION OF AN ARTICLE AGAINST CORROSION
This disclosure relates to a composition for the protection of an article against corrosion, wherein the composition comprises a blend comprising about 50 to about 99 wt. % of an amorphous polymer and about 1 to about 50 wt. % of a hydrocarbon wax, based on the total weight of the blend, the composition containing at least 30 wt. % of said blend, based on the total weight of the composition, wherein the amorphous polymer has a glass transition temperature T.sub.g of lower than about −20° C.; and the hydrocarbon wax has a melting point of about 35° to about 130° C. This disclosure also relates to a wrapping tape comprising a backing layer and a layer comprising the composition.
