Ultraviolet-light-emitting device with adhesive having low glass transition temperature

Provided is an adhesive for use in an ultraviolet-light-emitting device using ultraviolet light having a wavelength of from 200 to 400 nm as a light source, which can attach adherends made of a polymer having a fluorine-containing alicyclic structure with excellent adhesiveness which is unlikely to be impaired by exposure to such ultraviolet light or heat. An adhesive for forming an adhesive joint in an ultraviolet-light-emitting device, which is either the following adhesive (A) or the following adhesive (B) comprising a fluoropolymer having a fluorine-containing alicyclic structure: the adhesive (A): an adhesive in which the glass transition temperature of the fluoropolymer is from 30 to 100 C., and which does not contain an ultraviolet-shielding agent; and the adhesive (B): an adhesive comprising the fluoropolymer and an ultraviolet-shielding agent.

Dielectric substrate and method of forming the same

The present disclosure relates to a dielectric substrate that may include a polymer based core film, and a fluoropolymer based adhesive layer. The polymer based core film may include a resin matrix component, and a ceramic filler component. The ceramic filler component may include a first filler material. The particle size distribution of the first filler material may have a D.sub.10 of at least about 1.0 microns and not greater than about 1.7, a D.sub.50 of at least about 1.0 microns and not greater than about 3.5 microns, and a D.sub.90 of at least about 2.7 microns and not greater than about 6 microns.

The adhesive layer includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive in an amount by weight of about 90 parts to about 100 parts, inorganic fluorescent powders in an amount by weight of about 0.05 parts to about 0.5 parts, and a curing agent in an amount by weight of about 0.5 parts to about 3 parts.

MASKING TAPE FOR SHOT PEENING PROCESS

Provided is a masking tape for a shot peening process, including: a substrate having a first surface and a second surface; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The masking tape has a breaking strength of 55 N/15 mm or more and exhibits an impact absorption rate of 20% or more in a falling ball impact test. Further, the masking tape has a displacement distance of 2 mm or less after 1 h from an initial position in a holding power test at 40 C. which is performed by applying a load of 500 g.

A novel hot-melt adhesive and a preparation method thereof are disclosed, and in particular a hot-melt adhesive for bonding aluminum, stainless steel or other metal materials and PVC plastics is disclosed. The specific nylon-type copolyamide is firstly prepared by designing specific raw materials and percentage thereof, and in combination with favorable bonding properties of the nylon-type copolyamide for metals and favorable bonding characteristics of the perchloroethylene resin for PVC, a double screw extruder is utilized to perform sufficient melt blending on the nylon-type copolyamide and the perchloroethylene resin under the synergistic actions of related aids, so that the obtained novel hot-melt adhesive has favorable bonding properties for both metals and PVC.

Adhesive tapes include a plasticized polyvinyl chloride backing, a primer including an ethylene/carbon monoxide-containing terpolymer, and an adhesive.

PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE

Provided is a method of producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive containing a cured product of a curable composition containing a crosslinkable silicon group-containing organic polymer and an adhesion-imparting resin as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; curing of the curable composition does not proceed when heated during production, i.e., the curable composition has excellent stability when heated, and the crosslinking reaction of the curable composition proceeds by some sort of trigger. The pressure-sensitive adhesive contains, as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a cured product of a curable composition containing (A) a crosslinkable silicon group-containing organic polymer, (B) an adhesion-imparting resin, (C) a SiF bond-containing silicon compound, and (D) a photobase generator.
