ADHESIVE FOR PELLICLE, PELLICLE, AND METHOD OF SELECTING ADHESIVE FOR PELLICLE
Provided are an adhesive comprising substantially no surface modifier and leaving a less residue behind after a pellicle is separated; a pellicle; and a method of selecting an adhesive leaving a less residue behind. More specifically, provided are an adhesive for a pellicle having a ratio of a peel strength to a tensile strength of from 0.10 to 0.33; a pellicle comprising a pellicle frame, a pellicle film provided over an upper end face of the pellicle frame, and the adhesive adhered to a lower end face of the pellicle frame; and a method of selecting an adhesive, comprising the steps of: measuring a peel strength and a tensile strength of an adhesive, and selecting an adhesive having a ratio of the former to the latter of from 0.10 to 0.33 as the adhesive for a pellicle.
ACOUSTICAL THERMAL DECOUPLING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to an acoustical and thermal decoupling system (10) in a form of a polymer tape that includes a closed-cell foam layer (12) having a front side and a reverse side, a pressure sensitive adhesive (14) coated on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12), and a release liner (16) covering the pressure sensitive adhesive (14) on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12). The acoustical and thermal decoupling system (10) may be installed directly to a structural member of a building by removing the release liner (16) from the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12) and pressing the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12) against the structural member, allowing the pressure sensitive adhesive (14) to bond the closed-cell foam layer (12) directly to the structural member.
COMPOSITIONS FOR ADHESIVE APPLICATIONS
The present teachings contemplate a method comprising coating a poly(vinyl chloride) material with a composition including a dicarbonyl compound, a cyanoacrylate compound, or a combination thereof and a viscosity modifying agent so that the composition has a viscosity of from about 50 cps to about 2500 cps; wherein the coated poly(vinyl chloride) material is capable of adhering to a second material without the use of a primer.
Mask-integrated surface protective tape
A mask-integrated surface protective tape, containing: a substrate film; a temporary-adhesive layer provided on the substrate film; and a mask material layer provided on the temporary-adhesive layer; wherein the mask material layer and the temporary-adhesive layer each contain a (meth)acrylic copolymer; and wherein the mask-integrated surface protective tape is used for a method of producing a semiconductor chip utilizing a plasma-dicing.
Optical adhesive
An optical adhesive including a viscoelastic or elastomeric adhesive layer and a cured polymer layer immediately adjacent the viscoelastic or elastomeric adhesive layer is described. The viscoelastic or elastomeric adhesive layer a refractive index less than 1.570 and the cured polymer layer has a refractive index of at least 1.570. An interface between the viscoelastic or elastomeric adhesive layer and the cured polymer layer is structured. The cured polymer layer has a storage modulus of at least 2000 MPa at 20° C. and a glass transition temperature of no more than 65° C.
