SEMI-HARDENED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE FILM

Disclosed is a semi-hardened pressure sensitive adhesive film to be used in the semi-hardened state and having excellent printing step absorption properties. The adhesive film according to the present invention contains a radial polymer composition and a cationic polymer composition, and the radial polymer composition is primarily cross-linked to maintain the semi-hardened state. When applied onto a substrate through a printing step, the present invention has excellent step absorption properties and adhesion properties and excellent durability even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.

Intrusion resistant glass laminates

Composite laminate interlayers for adhering a glass laminate comprising a sheet of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) between layers of plasticized polyvinyl butyral (PVB) adhesive layers, wherein at least one of the PVB adhesive layers is stiffened, e.g. by reduction in the amount of plasticizer, and has a glass transition temperature greater than 35 C. The PET is preferably 0.075 to 0.25 mm (3-10 mils) thick and can have a functional coating for reducing radiation, e.g. UV or IR or visible light, transmission through the glass laminate. The laminate can also comprise at least one elastomeric layer adapted to reducing sound transmission through the glass laminate. The laminates exhibit enhanced maximum flexural modulus of greater than about 350 Newtons/centimeter.

Bonding film, and light-transmitting laminate including same

Embodiment relates to film for bonding, and a light-transmitting laminate including the same and the like, a film for bonding comprising an embossed surface, wherein the embossed surface has an A2/A1 value of 1 or less are disclosed. A film for bonding have improved in deairing stability during formation of a light transmitting laminate, an edge sealing characteristic, and the like by controlling characteristics of a embossed surface.

The present invention provides a curable composition, a curable adhesive film, and an adhesive tape. Specifically, the curable composition comprises, based on the total weight thereof as 100 wt %: 15-50 wt % of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; 10-40 wt % of polyvinyl butyral; and 20-60 wt % of an epoxy resin. The curable adhesive film according to the technical solution of the present invention has no tackiness at room temperature, which enables the curable adhesive film to have the ability to reposition even after being laminated on a substrate, making the curable adhesive film applicable to substrates with irregular shapes. Once initiated by UV radiation, the curable adhesive film is flowable and tacky at elevated temperatures. The cured adhesive has good bonding strength at high temperatures. The curable adhesive film features high bond strength and low odor, and can be used for void filling, especially for side panel bonding of electric vehicle battery modules in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITIONS FOR PRE-GEL OVENS

An epoxy adhesive composition is provided that has superior wash-off resistance after pre-gelling, and may be used, for example, in manufacturing processes, for example, in the automobile industry. The composition also provides unique viscosity profile after pre-gelling to significantly reduce failure mode in subsequent processing steps. In preferred embodiments the adhesive composition comprises an epoxy type resin and a gelling agent selected from polyesterdiols and polyvinyl butyrals.
