Electrically conductive adhesive and electrically conductive material
Disclosed is an electrically conductive adhesive containing: (A) a polyether polymer having a backbone comprising a repeating unit of the formula: —R.sup.1—O— wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and an end group which is a hydrolyzable silyl group, and (B) silver particles. Further disclosed is an electrically conductive material which is a hardened product of the electrically conductive adhesive.
Resin composition and article made therefrom
A resin composition includes 20 parts by weight to 45 parts by weight of a phosphorus-containing bismaleimide and 100 parts by weight of a thermosetting resin, wherein the phosphorus-containing bismaleimide has a structure of Formula (I); the thermosetting resin is selected from a vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin, a maleimide resin, a polyolefin resin, a prepolymer of maleimide resin, and a combination thereof. The resin composition may be used to make a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board, and at least one of the following properties can be improved, including flame retardancy, outgassing properties, arc resistance, copper foil peeling strength, X-axis coefficient of thermal expansion, glass transition temperature and water absorption rate. ##STR00001##
Method for adhesively bonding rubber-based thermoplastic substrates
A method for adhesively bonding two substrates by means of a moisture-curable adhesive composition, wherein at least one of the substrates includes at least 40 wt.-% of a mixture, said mixture consisting of: between 15 and 99 wt.-% of at least one thermoplastic polymer; between 1 and 85 wt.-% of at least one elastomer; and wherein the moisture-curable adhesive composition includes: at least one polymer containing silane groups; between 10 and 40 wt.-% of at least one polymeric plasticizer; between 0.1 and 5 wt.-% of at least one amino-functional alkoxysilane; between 0 and 5 wt.-% of at least one C1-C12-alkyl-functional alkoxysilane. The method yields adhesively bonded substrates without the requirements of using migrating plasticizers and pre-treating of the substrates.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING MALEIMIDE PRE-POLYMERIZED RESIN
The present invention provides a resin composition comprising maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin and article made therefrom. The resin composition comprises: 100 weight parts of vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin; 35 to 45 weight parts of bis(vinylphenyl)ethane; and 30 to 60 weight parts of maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin; wherein the maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin is obtained by pre-polymerization of aromatic maleimide resin and long chain maleimide resin. The articles made from the resin composition improve at least one characteristic of glass transition temperature variation, copper foil peeling strength, percentage of thermal expansion, coefficient of thermal expansion and surface appearance.
TAPE, ARTICLE INCLUDING TAPE AND COMPOSITE LAYER, AND RELATED METHODS
The tape incudes a water vapor-permeable air and water barrier article and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The air and water barrier article includes a fibrous layer having first and second major surfaces and a polymeric layer on a first major surface of the fibrous layer that penetrates into the fibrous layer but leaves at least some fibers exposed on the second major surface. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is on the polymeric layer of the air and water barrier article. The tape can retain greater than 50 percent by weight of mortar applied according to the Vertical Mortar Receptivity Evaluation. The article includes a substrate, the tape, and a composite layer comprising at least one of gypsum, lime, or cement. The composite layer is at least one of dried or cured on the second major surface of the fibrous layer. Methods of making the article are also described.
CORE-SHEATH FILAMENT WITH A THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE CORE
A core-sheath filament having a) a core that is a thermally conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive particles and b) a non-tacky, thermoplastic sheath is provided. The thermally conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive in the core includes a (meth)acrylate-based polymeric material and thermally conductive particles. Additionally, methods of making the core-sheath filament and methods of using the core-sheath filament to print a thermally conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive are described.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, THERMOSETTING ADHESIVE SHEET, AND PRINTED WIRING BOARD
An adhesive composition has a low dielectric constant, a low dielectric loss tangent, and an excellent folding endurance. The adhesive composition includes: with respect to the total of 100 parts by mass of the adhesive composition, 75 to 90 parts by mass of a styrene elastomer; 3 to 25 parts by mass of a modified polyphenyleneether resin having a polymerizable group at an end; and totally 10 parts by mass or less of an epoxy resin and an epoxy resin curing agent, wherein the styrene ratio of the styrene elastomer is less than 30%.

Structural adhesive with improved corrosion resistance
The present disclosure relates to a thermosettable structural adhesive composition comprising an epoxy compound; a thermoplastic compound; an epoxy curing agent; at least one mineral filler, wherein the at least one mineral filler is capable of absorbing water. The thermosettable structural adhesive composition can exhibit an improved corrosion resistance while also providing good adhesive properties such as good t-peel strength and overlap shear strength.

A labeling system for use with containers, including at least one linerless label, wherein the at least one linerless label is configured to receive printing thereon; a substrate for receiving the label and to which the label becomes permanently bound after the label has been attached to the substrate; at least one adhesive, wherein the adhesive is either substantially dry or tacky prior to being activated; moist or wet after being activated; or wet prior to application, and wherein the adhesive may be deposited on the label or on the substrate prior to attaching the label to the substrate; and where necessary, an activator for activating the adhesive and controlling the rate of drying thereof.
