An adhesive tape including an adhesive layer is provided. The adhesive layer has a biobased content of 50% or more by mass. The adhesive layer contains a reaction product of a urethane resin (A) and a cross-linking agent (B). The urethane resin (A) contains at least a structural unit derived from a biobased polyether polyol and a structural unit derived from an aromatic polyisocyanate. The adhesive layer has a gel fraction of 10% or more by mass and 80% or less by mass and a stress of less than 50 N/cm.sup.2 at 100% strain in a stress-strain curve.

The invention relates a process for the preparation of a bonded structure (4) comprising at least a first plastic part (1) having a first bonding surface (1a), said process comprising the step of a) treating at least part of a first bonding surface of said first plastic part with a flame of a propane-comprising gas, said propane-comprising gas being propane or a mixture comprising at least 50 wt. % of propane based on the weight of the propane-comprising gas with one or more gases selected from the group consisting of methane, ethane, butane, pentane, and hexane, wherein, during treatment with a flame of the propane-comprising gas, a flame is produced by burning a mixture of air and the propane-comprising gas, wherein the gas-to-air ratio is chosen such that the propane gas to oxygen volume ratio is equal to or less than 1:5.01, for example less than 1:5.00 and preferably at least 3.50 to obtain a first plastic part having a flame-treated first bonding surface.

The invention relates to an adhesive dual-component composition based on polyurethane, comprising an —NCO component and an —OH component such that: the —NCO component is a composition comprising: A) at least one polyurethane prepolymer comprising at least two NCO terminal groups obtained by the polyaddition reaction of at least one dissymmetric diisocyanate monomer and at least one diol, and B) at least one triisocyanate selected from isocyanurates, biurets, diisocyanate and triol adducts, and the mixtures thereof; the —OH component is a composition comprising at least one polyol; at least one of the polyols or diols is selected from polyether polyols (or polyether diols); at least one of the polyols or diols is selected from polyester polyols (or polyester diols); and the weight ratio of the quantity of polyether polyol(s) to the quantity of polyester polyol(s), defined as r.sub.4, ranges from 0.6 to 2.2.

ASSEMBLY OF METAL PIPES WITH TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE

Described herein is a method for joining a first metal pipe with a second metal pipe, the pipes being joined together in an overlapping area by use of a two-component polyurethane adhesive that encapsulates the overlapping area, where the method includes the steps of:

(1) applying the two-component polyurethane adhesive onto an inner surface of a fixture;
(2) inserting one end of the first metal pipe into one end of the second metal pipe so as to form a pipe assembly having the overlapping area between the two ends, and putting the overlapping area of the pipe assembly into the fixture; (3) closing the fixture such that the overlapping area of the pipe assembly is fixed in the fixture, and such that the adhesive therein encapsulates the overlapping area of the pipe assembly; (4) curing the two-component polyurethane adhesive; and (5) optionally, removing the fixture from the pipe assembly.

cutting a shoe insole shape in a package in which the foam and the fabric are bonded.

Disclosed are a hot melt tape for hook-and-loop fasteners without sewing which may be adhered at a low temperature and complete hardening of an adhesive resin in a short time and a method for manufacturing a seat padding material for vehicles using the same. The method includes preparing the padding material and a hook-and-loop fabric, preparing a hot melt tape having a hot melt resin layer by coating a surface of a release paper with a reactive hot melt resin having a melting point of 40-80° C. before reacting, adhering the hot melt tape to a surface of the padding material by applying heat of a temperature of 30-70° C. and pressure thereto, removing the release paper, adhering the hook-and-loop fabric to the exposed hot melt resin layer, and hardening the hot melt resin layer by cooling the padding material and the hook-and-loop fabric to a temperature of 0-20° C.

The adhesive composition comprises: a. an anionic aqueous polyurethane dispersion, which contains a polyurethane with enthalpy of fusion of at least 3 J/g, wherein the enthalpy of fusion is measured by DSC at 20° C.-100° C. of the first heating curve according to DIN 65467; and wherein said aqueous polyurethane dispersion has a hydroxyl content of 0.001% by weight to 0.085% by weight, relative to the total weight of the aqueous polyurethane dispersion; and b. an aqueous polyacrylate primary dispersion with a hydroxyl content of 0.5% by weight to 1.8% by weight, relative to the total weight of the aqueous polyacrylate primary dispersion; wherein the amount of the aqueous polyurethane dispersion is 30% by weight to 91% by weight, and the amount of the aqueous polyacrylate primary dispersion is 9% by weight to 70% by weight, the above weight percentages being relative to the total weight of the adhesive composition. The adhesive composition of the present invention has good high-temperature resistance.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a double-sided adhesive film which has a generally equal elongation in the XY (longitudinal and transverse) directions, more preferably in the thickness direction, while being prevented from the occurrence of adhesive protrusion or glue burr, and which has higher adhesive force and higher holding power in comparison to similar single-layer adhesive articles, while being applicable to a stretchable or flexible adherend. A double-sided adhesive film according to the present invention is a substrate-less double-sided adhesive film which is composed of a center layer that is formed of a resin adhesive, and adhesive layers that are superposed on the front surface and the back surface of the center layer, said adhesive layers being formed of a resin that is the same as or similar to the resin that constitutes the center layer, wherein the weight average molecular weight or the crosslinking degree of the resin that constitutes the center layer is higher than the weight average molecular weight or the crosslinking degree of the resin that constitutes the adhesive layers. This double-sided adhesive film is characterized in that the tolerance between the elongation in the longitudinal direction and the elongation in the transverse direction is ±20% or less relative to one of the elongations, more preferably, the elongation in the longitudinal direction and the elongation in the transverse direction are equal to each other.
