A method for producing the hotmelt adhesive composition includes adding a polymer produced from ethylene, one or more branched vinyl ester monomers, and optionally, vinyl acetate and a tackifier into a mixer, optionally adding wax and/or antioxidant into the mixer, and mixing the polymer and the tackifier, and the optional wax and/or antioxidant at a temperature in a range from 150° C. to 200° C. to form the hot melt adhesive composition. A method for bonding a substrate to a similar or dissimilar substrate includes applying the hotmelt adhesive composition to at least one substrate; and bonding the substrate and the hotmelt adhesive composition together. A multi-layer article comprises at least one layer of the hotmelt adhesive compositions and one or more substrate layers.

A polymer composition for use in a hot melt adhesive comprises at least one semierystalline, low molecular weight (LMW) propylene-based polymer; at least one essentially amorphous, high molecular weight (HMW) propylene-based polymer; and at least one essentially amorphous, LMW propylene-based polymer. A hot melt adhesive composition further contains a tackifier, a plasticizer, an antioxidant, and optionally a wax, a filler, a colorant, a UV absorber, another polymer, or combinations thereof. The hot melt adhesive is useful for a variety of industrial applications where bonding of low surface energy substrates is encountered, including disposable nonwoven hygienic articles, labeling and other assembly applications. Particularly preferred applications include nonwoven disposable diaper and feminine sanitary napkin construction, diaper and adult incontinent brief elastic attachment, diaper and napkin core stabilization, diaper backsheet lamination, industrial filter material conversion, and surgical gown and surgical drape assemblies. The composition demonstrates improved peel strength while maintaining very good creep resistance.

The disclosure relates to a mechanically recyclable label (1) comprising a face (2) and an adhesive (4). The face (2) comprises ethylene containing polymer and the adhesive (4) comprises pressure sensitive adhesive. The pressure sensitive adhesive comprises at least 15 wt. % of a base polymer, at least 25 wt. % of a tackifier and at least 10 wt. % of a plasticizer. The base polymer, the tackifier and the plasticizer are colourless and odourless. The base polymer is a styrene block copolymer. The mechanically recyclable label (1) is mechanically recyclable with packaging material comprising ethylene containing polymer. The disclosure further relates to a label laminate (8), a method for manufacturing a label laminate (8), a labelled item (101), as well as to use of a label (1) and of a label laminate (8). The disclosure also relates to use of a waste matrix of the label laminate for producing granulates of recycled plastic.

A process of heat shrinking an article is provided. The process includes shaping a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) into an article, the TPV having: a partially vulcanized rubber dispersed in a continuous thermoplastic phase, wherein more than 5 wt % of the rubber is extractable in boiling xylene, and wherein the thermoplastic phase comprises a thermoplastic resin having a Tm>110° C. and a propylene-based elastomer (PBE) having a Tm<110° C.; and heating the article to a temperature between about 100° C. and 250° C. to shrink the article.

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition containing a base polymer containing a propylene-based polymer (A) in which a melting endotherm (ΔH-D) is 0 J/g or more and 60 J/g or less, and a melting point (Tm-D) is not observed or is 0° C. or higher and 120° C. or lower; and a propylene-based polymer (C) in which a melting endotherm (ΔH-D) is 20 J/g or more and 120 J/g or less, and a melting point (Tm-D) is higher than 120° C., the content of the propylene-based polymer (C) being 0.5 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the content of the propylene-based polymer (A).
