A pressure-sensitive adhesive having good adhesive and flame retardancy properties is provided. The pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises: (A) at least one poly(meth)acrylate and (B) at least one organophosphorus compound, wherein the monomer composition forming the basis for the poly(meth)acrylate comprises (i) at least one (meth)acrylic ester whose alcohol component contains more than 4 carbons; (ii) at least one (meth)acrylic ester whose alcohol component contains not more than 4 carbons; and (iii) acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid at a total of at least 5 wt %. Also provided is a method of using the pressure-sensitive adhesive as a flame-retardant pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Linerless Water-Activated Water-Based Emulsion

Provided herein is a water-activated adhesive comprising an aqueous emulsion of vinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, and glycerin. The adhesive has no significant tack prior to being activated, can be repositionable for at least 1 minute after activation, and can form a strong bond less than two hours after activation. Also provided are labels comprising the water-activated adhesive, methods for producing and using the water-activated adhesive, and systems for labeling articles with the water-activated adhesive.

Provided is a method of producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive containing a cured product of a curable composition containing a crosslinkable silicon group-containing organic polymer and an adhesion-imparting resin as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; curing of the curable composition does not proceed when heated during production, i.e., the curable composition has excellent stability when heated, and the crosslinking reaction of the curable composition proceeds by some sort of trigger. Hot-melt adhesive and preparation method therefor

A novel hot-melt adhesive and a preparation method thereof are disclosed, and in particular a hot-melt adhesive for bonding aluminum, stainless steel or other metal materials and PVC plastics is disclosed. The specific nylon-type copolyamide is firstly prepared by designing specific raw materials and percentage thereof, and in combination with favorable bonding properties of the nylon-type copolyamide for metals and favorable bonding characteristics of the perchloroethylene resin for PVC, a double screw extruder is utilized to perform sufficient melt blending on the nylon-type copolyamide and the perchloroethylene resin under the synergistic actions of related aids, so that the obtained novel hot-melt adhesive has favorable bonding properties for both metals and PVC.

SYNTHETIC RUBBER PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE, PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET, AND POLISHING MEMBER LAMINATE

The invention provides a synthetic rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive which has excellent heat resistance and substrate adhesiveness, is capable of inhibiting offset, peeling or the like even in a high-temperature environment and is suitable for applications in a high-temperature environment, a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and a polishing member laminate. The synthetic rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive of the invention contains: a synthetic rubber (A) including a styrene-isoprene block copolymer, an adhesion-imparting resin (B), and a fatty acid ester (C) with a weight reduction rate of 1 wt % or less after being heated at 150 C. for 10 minutes. Based on 100 parts by weight of the synthetic rubber (A), the content of the adhesion-imparting resin (B) is set as 5 parts by weight to 60 parts by weight, and the content of the fatty acid ester (C) is set as 0.1 parts by weight to 10 parts by weight.

DOUBLE-SIDED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE

The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape including: a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a thickness greater than 150 m and smaller than 1,500 m, an elongation at break of 600% to 3,000%, and a stress at break of 2.5 to 80.0 MPa. According to the invention, the conformity and the adhesion with respect to an adherend, particularly, a hard adherend, are excellent, and excellent re-peeling properties are obtained, so that the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape can be stretched and peeled off in a horizontal direction, without necessity for embrittling the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape by heating or by using an organic solvent or the like or without remaining of the pressure-sensitive adhesive on the adherend, in a case of peeling the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.

The invention relates to a method for producing an adhesive tape (1), in particular a wrapping tape for wrapping around cables in automobiles. A strip-shaped carrier (2) is provided with a UV cross-linkable adhesive coating (5). In addition to an acrylate-based pressure-sensitive adhesive with embedded photoinitiators, the adhesive coating (5) comprises at least one additive. The photoinitiators are activated for cross-linking by irradiation with a UV light source (6) emitting in the range of its activation wavelength. According to the invention, the additive has at least in the range of the activation wavelength of the photoinitiators an absorbance (E) of 0.1 to 0.7, preferably between 0.2 and 0.6.
