Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an adhesive asphalt emulsion. The adhesive asphalt emulsion can be prepared in liquid form and applied to a material, such as a film or fabric, to create a self-adhering membrane. In some embodiments, the adhesive can be water vapor permeable, and can be applied in a continuous layer to a membrane. The adhesive asphalt emulsion can be prepared, applied, and in service at low temperatures.
Facilitated detailing for pre-applied waterproofing membranes
The invention provides a waterproofing membrane which does not require a removable release sheet but which nevertheless bonds to post-cast concrete and facilitates water-tight sealing at membrane-to-membrane overlaps. The waterproofing membrane comprises a carrier and pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) layers, an inorganic particle layer having particulate bodies which are partially embedded in the PSA and which have an average particle size less than the average thickness of the PSA layer, and an anti-submarining nano-silica-containing coating layer attached to un-embedded portions of the inorganic particles to prevent total embedding into the PSA when the membrane is rolled or unrolled, whereby water-tight seams are facilitated between overlapped portions of adjacently installed waterproofing membranes, and whereby the water-tight seam is achieved preferably using only detailing or waterproofing tape and without the additional use of a liquid primer, mastic, or other coating.
UV-CROSSLINKED HOT-MELT PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE USED FOR POLYVINYL-CHLORIDE INSULATED ADHESIVE TAPE
The present invention provides a UV-crosslinked hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive used for a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation adhesive tape, made by mixing a polymer of vinyl monomers, functional monomers, special soft monomers, and photoinitiators with a tackifying resin and an antioxidant in certain proportions; the composition of the photoinitiator polymer contains a copolymer of one or more polymerizable photosensitive initiators and acrylate monomers, or a mixture of oligomers of one or more polymerizable photosensitive initiators and acrylate high polymers. The PVC adhesive tape made using such a pressure-sensitive adhesive has the advantages of excellent mechanical properties, bonding performance, and resistance to high temperatures, and is energy-saving and environmentally friendly; the present invention overcomes the defect of the prior art that a relatively long thermal oven is needed to volatilize a solvent in the glue when coating a PVC adhesive tape, which is applicable for wrapping and strapping cable bundles in different positions of the body of an automobile, can satisfy the requirement for uses on high temperature-resistant positions of an engine inside the automobile, and reaches a long-term temperature resistance level of 125 C.
OPTICALLY CLEAR ADHESIVE SHEET, METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICALLY CLEAR ADHESIVE SHEET, LAMINATE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING TOUCH PANEL ATTACHED THERETO
The present invention provides an optically clear adhesive sheet with excellent transparency using a thermosetting polyurethane composition that has excellent flexibility and is capable of giving a thick film. The optically clear adhesive sheet of the present invention contains: a cured product of a thermosetting polyurethane composition, the thermosetting polyurethane composition containing a polyol component, a polyisocyanate component, and a tackifier, the thermosetting polyurethane composition having a tackifier content of 5 to 21 wt %.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH-TEMPERATURE-RESISTANT POLYVINYL-CHLORIDE ADHESIVE TAPE
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride adhesive tape, and more particularly to a method and a production process for manufacturing a high temperature-resistant adhesive tape by applying a UV-crosslinkable hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive to a high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride film. The high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride film is a high temperature-resistant material containing a liquid polymeric plasticizer, a solid polymeric plasticizer, and a heat stabilizer. The hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive can be directly coated onto the high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride film at 130-150 C.; and then crosslinked and cured by UV irradiation, to make a high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride adhesive tape. Compared with conventional polyvinyl chloride adhesive tapes, the high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride adhesive tape manufactured using the method for manufacturing a novel high temperature-resistant polyvinyl chloride adhesive tape provided in the present invention has the advantages of non-volatility and resistance to high temperature and is highly environmentally friendly.
NOVEL HOT-MELT ADHESIVE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A novel hot-melt adhesive and a preparation method thereof are disclosed, and in particular a hot-melt adhesive for bonding aluminum, stainless steel or other metal materials and PVC plastics is disclosed. The specific nylon-type copolyamide is firstly prepared by designing specific raw materials and percentage thereof, and in combination with favorable bonding properties of the nylon-type copolyamide for metals and favorable bonding characteristics of the perchloroethylene resin for PVC, a double screw extruder is utilized to perform sufficient melt blending on the nylon-type copolyamide and the perchloroethylene resin under the synergistic actions of related aids, so that the obtained novel hot-melt adhesive has favorable bonding properties for both metals and PVC.
