APPARATUS FOR APPLYING STUDS
20170065015 · 2017-03-09 · ·

An apparatus for applying studs on strips of material includes a lower plate having a plurality of upward-protruding pins, an intermediate plate intended to be disposed on the lower plate and having a plurality of through housings suitable for receiving the body of the studs and letting the pins of the lower plate pass through, and an upper plate with housings to cooperate with the attaching means of the studs. The pins of the lower plate have a head made of a soft material intended to stop against the body of the studs, in such manner not to damage the body of the studs, when the studs are pressed between the pins of the lower plate and the housings of the upper plate.

The present invention contemplates a method for the attachment of a component to a honeycomb structure comprising forming a cavity in the honeycomb structure whereby the cavity is formed within one or more honeycomb cells; placing an insert adapted to enable the attachment of the component to the honeycomb structure whereby a reformable epoxy resin adhesive is injected about the insert or an expandable reformable epoxy resin adhesive is overmolded onto the insert; heating the reformable epoxy resin adhesive; and hardening and adhering the reformable epoxy resin adhesive to one or more interior walls of the cavity upon cooling.

Magnetic fastener system

A garment including a body having a first garment portion and a second garment portion, and a releasable fastener configured to releasably couple the first garment portion to the second garment portion. The garment further includes a covering flap movable between a covering position wherein the covering flap covers the releasable fastener and a retracted position wherein the covering flap does not cover the releasable fastener. The garment has a magnetic fastener system configured to selectively retain the covering flap in the covering position.

METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A MAGNETIC SYSTEM

A method including accessing a support strip and placing a plurality of magnetizable backing members along the support strip. The method further includes, after the first placing step, placing a magnet on or adjacent to each backing member such that each magnet is magnetically coupled to an associated backing member to thereby position each magnet on the support strip. The method also includes placing the support strip on or in a garment.
