REVERSIBLE PILLOW AND STORAGE DEVICE
A reversible pillow having a first panel with a seam located around its perimeter. A first flap is attached to a portion of the first panel at the seam. A second flap is attached to another portion of the first panel at the seam. The second flap is overlapping with the first flap. The panel, the first flap and the second flap are attached to each other to define a first storage compartment. A fastener is attached to the pair of flaps adapted to secure the flaps closed over the first storage compartment. The reversible pillow is adapted to switch between: a first position, in which the pair of flaps overlap to cover the storage compartment, and a second position, reversed from the first position, in which the first panel and the pair of flaps are turned inside-out defining a second storage compartment.
REMOVABLE (AND OPTIONALLY WASHABLE) HAT INSERT FOR ABSORBING PERSPIRATION
The challenge of protecting caps from excess perspiration is solved by providing a hat liner comprising: (a) a first portion including a plurality of tabs separated by one or more gaps, the first portion dimensioned so that at least a part of it fits between, and is held by, the sweatband of a cap and one or more front panels of a hat; and (b) a second portion, directly or indirectly joined with the first portion along a length, and including at least one moisture absorbing layer. The second potion may further include at least one moisture wicking layer. The first portion may include at least three tabs defined and separated by at least two gaps. At least some of the two gaps may have a wider open end and a narrower closed end. Each of the plurality of tabs in the first potion may be provided with a plurality of lateral ridges. The second portion may be indirectly joined with the first portion via the hinge portion. The hinge portion is provided with a plurality of lateral slits.
Hard hat with filtered, battery-operated air flow system and method
A hard hat with air flow system includes a hard hat with an air flow passage for passing air through the hard hat and out exits ports at the front of the hat to provide a shield of air downward across the face of a user. The system includes an air filtration system, a blower assembly for drawing air through the air filter and pushing the filtered air into the air flow passage of the hard hat, and a power supply for powering the blower. The filtration system, blower assembly and power supply being supported on a harness such as a belt or backpack, external from the hard hat.
Scalp Cooling Apparatus, Method, and System
A scalp cooling apparatus, method, and system that may include an inner scalp cap, an intermediate scalp covering, and an outer scalp cap. The inner scalp cap may be fluidly coupled to a cooling device, that would allow a cooling fluid to traverse the fluid chambers within a set of sections of the inner scalp cap. The inner scalp covering can be constructed of a thermally conductive material. The intermediate scalp covering can be constructed of a thermally neutral material. The outer scalp covering can be constructed of a thermally resistant material. The outer scalp covering may have a first securing mechanism, and a second securing mechanism, that allow the outer scalp covering to be dynamically adjusted and secured against a patient's scalp via the first securing mechanism and the second securing mechanism. The inner scalp cap may be created from a scan of a patient's head, that can then be utilized as an interpolated parametric model may be utilized to generate an output file.
Wall Holder for Display of Baseball-type Cap
A wall mounted baseball-style cap holder (or cap clip) that supports the cap the apex of its crown proximate a button (if the cap is so equipped) is described. The clip comprises a base plate including a flat rear surface, which may have a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive attached thereto, and upper and lower spaced arcuate plate-like protrusions that extend generally orthogonally from the base plate. The holder is configured to be mounted to a wall or other substantially vertical surface typically by way of an adhesive or double sided tape, which may or may not be provided with the holder.
Convertible and customizable greeting card
A convertible greeting card that can be converted from a greeting card into an accessory such as a hat. The convertible greeting card can optionally include a message and a decoration. The shape and geometry of the convertible greeting card are typically selected such that brims will extend in a direction generally orthogonal to a first surface of the card when the brim flaps are releasably affixed to one another. Decorations can be disposed on one or more of a first or second surface of the card. A message can also be disposed on a surface of the card.
INFRARED RADIATION TRANSPARENT SUBSTRATES AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATION AND USE THEREOF
Substrates with transparency to infrared body radiation and opacity in the visible light spectrum are provided and systems and methods for creation thereof are provided. The IR radiation transparent substrate is IR radiation transparent and visible light opaque with enough breathability and softness to make it suitable for use in garments for body thermal regulation. Further, the IR radiation transparent substrate is created utilizing nanofiber technology to form specific sized micro pores between the nanofibers.
Methods and apparatus for a head covering device with increased air circulation
Methods and apparatus for a head covering may improve air circulation through any suitable head covering. Methods and apparatus for a head covering may comprise a base configured to fit around a wearer's head, a sidewall comprising a plurality of open cells configured to prevent light rays at or above a predetermined angle relative to the passageway of each cell from passing unobstructed through the cell, and a crown configured to close of the interior surface of the sidewall. The minimum depth of each cell may be determined based on the height of the cell, the angle at or above which the light rays are to obstructed, and the angle of the exterior cell opening. The cells may be arranged in the sidewall such that the lower surface of the passageway of each cell is substantially at the same angle with respect to a horizontal plane.
Guiding means for administering acupuncture and other healing procedures
The invention is guiding means that are adapted to serve as guides to accurately locate specific locations on the body to be stimulated in order to prevent, diagnose, and treat specific types of diseases and other conditions in humans and animals. The invention includes specially modified and personalized articles of clothing and an apparatus for supporting an organ of a human or animal body adapted for accurately positioning and orienting the organ with respect to each other a device for administering the stimulation or the healing process. The apparatus and embodiments of the articles of clothing are adapted as stands that support devices used to apply stimulation to the location. The applied stimulation can be any of the therapies which depend on the application of energy or force to specific locations on the body.
FOOTWEAR PLATE
A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a midfoot region of the plate than at a forefoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.
