Decorative knot and article of apparel or headwear incorporating same
A decorative knot for a turban or other article of apparel comprises a flexible core composed of solid polyethylene foam and having a uniform circular cross section. A length of polyester fabric fits over, and covers, the exterior surface of the core material and includes two overlapping layers extending laterally from the core material and sewn together. The fabric-covered core material is formed into a spiral consisting of multiple turns proceeding around an axis. The turns have a progressively increasing radius and are progressively axially displaced from one another. Adjacent turns of the spiral touch, and are sewn to one another. The overlapping layers of fabric that are sewn together extend inward toward the axis of the spiral and the decorative knot is secured to the turban by stitches that pass through the portion of the overlapping layers of fabric that extend inward from the largest turn of the spiral.
SELECTIVELY-ACTIVATABLE HEADWEAR RETENTION DEVICE
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a retaining module coupled to headwear to selectively increase friction between the headwear and a user's head. In an illustrative example, the retaining module includes a coupling region coupled to an inner surface of the headwear. The retaining module may, for example, include an engaging region extending from the coupling region and including a retaining surface. The retaining module may be configured, for example, such that the engaging region is selectively operable between a stowed mode in which the retaining surface is substantially separated from the wearer's head by a portion of the headwear, and a deployed mode in which the retaining surface engages the wearer's head such that a coefficient of friction between the head and the headwear is increased relative to the stowed mode. Various embodiments may advantageously provide selectable levels of resistance to removal of the headwear.
Reversible beanie with a pom-pom
A reversible headwear (100), such as a beanie, includes a reversible headwear body (110) and a pom-pom (150) connected thereto. The reversible headwear body (110) is adjustable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The headwear body (110) has a first surface (112) and an opposite second surface (114). The first and second surfaces (112, 114) correspond to outer and inner surfaces respectively in the first configuration of the headwear body (110), and to the inner and outer surfaces respectively in the second configuration of the headwear body (110). The headwear body (110) has a through-hole (130) extending from the first surface (112) to the second surface (114). The pom-pom (150) is configured to be connected to the headwear body (110) to allow movement of the connected pom-pom (150) through the through-hole (130) for positioning the connected pom-pom (150) over the opening on or over the outer surface when the headwear body (110) is in the first configuration or the second configuration.
Sweat removal apparatus
An apparatus is described to divert sweat away from a wearer's eyes or eyewear. The apparatus includes an elongate base member and a plurality of pliable ridges abutting the base member that, when pressed against the wearer's forehead, form channels. The channels collect and divert sweat away from the eyes so that the sweat drips down the side or back of the head, or down the nose, instead of flowing into the eyes or onto eyewear worn by the wearer.

Apparatus for manufacturing hair cap
Proposed is an apparatus for manufacturing a hair cap. A rubber band mounting unit is formed on one side of the top surface of the workbench. A rubber band conveying unit is formed on the top surface of the workbench and grips the expanded rubber band. A nonwoven fabric cutting unit is formed on the other side of the top surface of the workbench to cut a nonwoven fabric. A nonwoven fabric fusing unit couples the rubber band, conveyed by the rubber band conveying unit, to the nonwoven fabric. A driving unit makes the rubber band conveying unit reciprocate to the rubber band mounting unit or the nonwoven fabric fusing unit. A collecting unit grips and collects the fused hair cap. Processes for placing the rubber band on the peripheral edge of the nonwoven fabric and bonding same are performed rapidly in succession.

DEVICE FOR PROTECTIING AGAINST HAIR LOSS WHEN WEARING HEADGEAR
A protective head band for protecting against hair loss when wearing headgear is provided. The protective head band may be adapted to engage an inner periphery of the headgear. The protective head band may have a gel band providing a plurality of gel nubs adapted to decrease the pulling and sliding friction from the tension to the scalp imposed by the inner periphery.

Headwear with storable accessory
Headwear includes a storage region formed in a headwear portion with the storage region having an opening. An accessory is configured to cover a portion of a wearer's face and includes first and second opposing ends. The first end of the accessory is manually removable from the storage region through the opening. A retainer is attached to the second end of the accessory for limiting movement of the accessory within the storage region. The retainer locks the second end of the accessory within the storage region.
