Easy-entry shoe with a spring-flexible rear
A shoe including a sole and a shoe upper, the shoe upper including a shoe opening for entering the shoe, the shoe opening defined by a rear part, a medial part, a lateral part, and a front part, the rear part including a top portion, reinforced by a firm material, an optional bottom portion reinforced by a firm material, a center portion, located between the top portion and the bottom portion, the center portion made of a flexible material, and a spring element. The top part of the spring element being attached to the top portion of the rear part, and the bottom part of the spring element being attached to either the bottom portion of the rear part, or to the sole.
SUBTRACTIVE COLOR CHANGE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A subtractive color change system for displaying a selected color to a viewer and a method of changing color. The system includes a layered assembly having transparent panels of primary and key colors, with a fixed-color background behind the layered assembly. The subtractive color change system may have a control unit to individually control the intensities and values of the primary color panels to render a color and to control the intensities and values of the panels in the layered assembly to reduce differences between the color rendered and the selected color and to display the selected color to a viewer.
Ground-Engaging Structures for Articles of Footwear
Ground-engaging components for articles of footwear include an outer perimeter boundary rim that at least partially defines an outer perimeter of the ground-engaging component, wherein the outer perimeter boundary rim defines an upper-facing surface and an opposite ground-facing surface. The outer perimeter boundary rim defines an open space at least at a forefoot support area of the ground-engaging component. A matrix structure extends from the outer perimeter boundary rim (e.g., the ground-facing surface and/or the upper-facing surface) and across the open space at least at the forefoot support area to define an open cellular construction with plural open cells across the open space at least at the forefoot support area. The matrix structure defines one or more sets of adjacent open cells, the set(s) including at least three open cells that are substantially aligned in the forefoot support area along a line extending in a forward medial-to-rear lateral direction.
STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING STRUCTURALLY-COLORED ARTICLES
As described above, one or more aspects of the present disclosure provide articles having structural color, and methods of making articles having structural color.
FLEXIBLE PUNCTURE RESISTANT FOOTWEAR
A flexible, protective water sport footwear has a stretchy, flexible material configured to form at least one pair of booties that covers an entirety of a person's feet and ankles when worn; and a plurality of puncture resistant, non-stretchy protective materials attached in a pattern to at least one of an inner and outer side of the at least one pair of booties, the pattern providing coverage of a majority of the person's sole, toes, and arch, wherein a comfort and flexibility of the at least one pair of booties is preserved because the pattern provides gaps being occupied by the flexible material, the gaps at least being between the person's toes and arch, and along the person's Achilles tendon.
Articles and methods of making articles including a coating
The present disclosure is directed to articles that include a cured coating that includes a matrix of crosslinked polymers and optionally a colorant (e.g., pigment particles or dye or both). The cured coating can include a matrix of crosslinked polymers. The cured coating is a product of crosslinking a coating composition comprising uncrosslinked polymers (e.g., a dispersion of uncrosslinked polymers in a carrier to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers), wherein the uncrosslinked polymers are crosslinked to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers. The matrix of crosslinked polymers can be elastomeric. The present disclosure is also directed to articles including these bladders, methods of forming these bladders, and methods of making articles including these bladders, where the bladders include the cured coating.
Somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface
A somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface configured to stimulate rapid-firing nerves in the receptive field of a user's glabrous skin. The somatorsensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface includes a plurality of protuberances disposed thereupon, each protuberance sized and spaced apart appropriately to impress the receptive field when pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the user. Each protuberance widens from an apex toward a base whereby increased pressure applied to the surface increases an area of contact and stimulation by applying stimulation over a larger area of skin. The protuberances are spaced apart to maximize stimulation of rapid firing nerves while lessening overstimulation. The somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface is rendered in the form of a mat or floor covering and alternatively as an insole for wear in a user's shoes.
FUNCTIONAL PROTECTIVE MATERIAL WITH A REACTIVELY FINISHED MEMBRANE AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PRODUCED THEREWITH
The object of the invention is a functional protective material, especially with the function of protecting against chemical and/or biological poisons and/or noxious materials, such as combat agents, wherein the functional protective material comprises a multilayer construction. The multilayer construction has a two-dimensional backing material, especially a textile backing material and a membrane, which is assigned to the backing material and, in particular, is connected therewith. The membrane is provided with a reactive finish, especially with a component having catalytic activity preferably with respect to chemical and/or biological poisons and/or noxious matter. The adsorption filter material is suitable particularly for use in ABC protection objects (such as ABC protective clothing).

Footwear With Refractive Internal Illumination
A footwear with refractive internal illumination has a footwear, a translucent body, an illumination system and a liner. The footwear has a sole section and an upper. The upper has an opaque light refracting section. The illumination system has a power source and at least one light source. The at least one light source is electrically connected to the power source. A light wavelength of light emitted from the at least one light source is approximate to a light wavelength of light emitted through the opaque light refracting section. The upper is connected to the sole section. The at least one light source is connected to the translucent body. The translucent body is housed in between the liner and the opaque light refracting section.
