A boom assembly for an agricultural applicator includes a frame supporting a boom arm pivotably coupled to the frame and rotatable about a first axis. A first actuation assembly is pivotably coupled to the frame and the boom arm at a first pivot point for rotation about a second axis on a first side of the first axis. A second actuation assembly is pivotably coupled to the frame and the boom arm at a second pivot point for rotation about a third axis on a second side of the first axis. A sensor is configured to detect data indicative of a relative position of the boom arm relative to the frame. A computing system is configured to activate at least one of the first actuation assembly or the second actuation assembly in response to determining that the boom arm has deviated from a predefined angular range.

The invention relates to a liquid circuit for an agricultural sprayer having a main tank, a sealed transfer system able to transfer a liquid product contained in a drum to the liquid circuit in a sealed manner, a suction mechanism designed to suck the liquid product coming from the sealed transfer system and to discharge said liquid product to the main tank, a dosing mechanism and a control unit designed to determine a quantity of liquid product to be provided to the suction mechanism for the filling of the main tank, and to control the dosing mechanism to provide the determined quantity of liquid product to the suction mechanism, in such a way as to meter the liquid product transferred from the sealed transfer system to the main tank.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR APPLYING FLUID TO GROUPS OF SEEDS DISPENSED FROM A PLANTER
20230210042 · 2023-07-06 ·

A planter system includes a seeder assembly including a seed meter configured to dispense groups of seeds at intervals through a seed tube. The planter system also includes a sensor configured to transmit a first detection signal upon detection of a first seed passing through the seed tube and a second detection signal upon detection of a second seed passing through the seed tube. A control system is configured to compare a time between the first and second detection signals to a threshold time; determine that the first seed and the second seed are in a single group of seeds when the time between the first and second detection signals is less than the threshold time; and determine that the first seed and the second seed are in different groups of seeds if the time between the first and second detection signals is greater than the threshold time.

Self-propelled agricultural sprayer

A deflectable touchdown wheel system for a sprayer boom of an agricultural sprayer is provided that includes a touchdown wheel that deflects transversely when contacting the ground at an angle, damping ground contact impact forces at the sprayer boom, reducing reactionary forces such as external steering inputs at the sprayer vehicle.

Nozzle, valve, and manifold assembly for precision application of crop protectant

A treatment system for spraying treatment fluid onto plants in a field is described. The treatment system includes a highly configurable treatment mechanism including an array of nozzles and valve assemblies coupled into manifolds, and manifold assemblies. The manifolds of the manifold assemblies can be oriented in an open state or a nested state, the open state with no overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds and the nested state with overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds. The manifolds can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tube manifold and an offset manifold. The nozzles of the system can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tri-spray nozzle, a bar nozzle, a fan nozzle, and a deflected fan nozzle. The system can be controlled by a system controller which detects plant material and instructs a nozzle or combination of nozzles to spray treatment fluid.
