Article of footwear with built-in drying system
This disclosure represents a novel article of footwear that has a built-in toe drying system. The footwear is preferably in the form of a sandal having a sole and a strap attached to opposite sides of the sole and fastened to the top of the sole near forefoot region. More specifically, the footwear has a pair of micro fans releasably mounted in openings disposed in the strap. One micro fan is connected to a duct integrated in strap and the other micro fan is connected to a duct positioned along the side of the sole. The airflow generated by the micro fans are directed towards respective connected ducts such that the airflow is expelled through holes to dry moisture and water on foot of a wearer of the footwear. The sole has a plurality of ripples on top surface thereof and the ripples facilitate drainage of water.
Process for thermoregulating a flexible cellular material by compression and expansion of the gas trapped in its cells and associated device
A flexible cellular material is thermoregulated by compressing and expanding gas trapped in its cells A flexible elastomer material of a device that provide thermoregulation includes two layers of different shore hardness and conductivity and is has gas-filled cells. Each cell has a zone to store the gas when compressing the material in the layer C with higher hardness and thermal conductivity and another zone to expand the gas when decompressing the material in the layer D with lower hardness and thermal conductivity. The flexible material can be used as a sole in shoes to maintain a cool temperature. With each step, the cell zones located in the layer C act as adiabatic chambers whose gasses heat with compression. When the foot leaves the ground the zones of cells located in the layer D then act as a reactor nozzle that will expand the air and therefore cool it.
Article of footwear with cooling features
The present invention is directed toward an article of footwear effective to regulate the temperature of the feet of a wearer. In an embodiment, the article of footwear includes an upper and an insole with a thermal effect membrane. The thermal effect membrane contains a plurality of system-reactive components selectively engaged heat and/or moisture. In an embodiment, the printed coating includes a cooling agent, a phase change material, and a heat dissipation material. The bottom of the sole structure of the article of footwear further includes a multiple openings in the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot regions. The multiple openings promote airflow into the interior of the upper. In operation, the article of footwear is effective to delay/diminish the rise in skin temperature (compared to footwear lacking the membrane and/or openings), increasing wearer comfort.
Advanced Battery Systems and Related Sensor Integration and Data Acquisition Apparatus, Method, and System
The disclosures herein relate to the design of one or more battery monitoring or maintenance devices in some embodiments including guidance for autonomous vehicles for recharging, service or replacement of batteries or related devices. These devices may include but are not limited to devices that monitor and/or maintain the health of batteries or related devices that monitor and/or maintain the health of assets. The devices include batteries for vehicles, oral cleaning devices, smart-clothing with integrated batteries and sensors and charging pads which may monitor the health or assets being charged. Sensors may be integrated in these devices including but not limited to IMUs, thermocouples or oral cleaning devices, IMUs in clothing like shoes or wrist bands, or timers or charging sensors in magnetic surfaces which may cause one or more objects and/or other magnetic surfaces to float when a desired function is achieved.
Articles of footwear with uppers comprising a wound component and methods of making the same
Articles of footwear and methods of making articles of footwear including one or more continuous threads wound around anchor points. The winding of the one or more continuous threads forms a thread pattern that imparts desired characteristics to components of the article of footwear. Thread lines of the thread pattern may be bonded together. In some embodiments, thread lines may be bonded with a bonding layer.

ADAPTIVE COMPRESSION THERAPY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems, devices and methods for providing active and/or passive compression therapy to a body part can include a compression device worn over a compression stocking. The compression device can have a pulley based drive train that is driven by a motor to tighten and loosen compression elements, such as compression straps, in a precise, rapid, and balanced manner. Sensors can be used in the compression device and/or compression stockings to provide feedback to modulate the compression treatment parameters.
FOOT MANIFOLDS, APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR APPLYING REDUCED PRESSURE TO A TISSUE SITE ON A FOOT
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for applying reduced pressure to a tissue site on a foot are provided. An apparatus may include an insole and a tissue contacting surface covering at least a portion of the insole. At least one portion of the tissue contacting surface is removable to form a void. The apparatus may also include a reduced-pressure interface for receiving reduced pressure from a reduced-pressure source, and at least one flow channel fluidly coupled to the reduced-pressure interface and the void.

SHOE WEAR-OUT SENSOR, BODY-BAR SENSING SYSTEM, UNITLESS ACTIVITY ASSESSMENT AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A system assesses activity and displays a unitless activity value. A detector senses activity of a user. A processor reads sensed activity data from the detector. A display displays the unitless activity value. An enclosure houses the detector and the processor. The processor periodically reads the sensed activity data from the detector and processes the data to generate an activity number, the number being used to generate the unitless activity value based upon a maximum number and a display range.
