Footwear uppers and other textile components including reinforced and abutting edge joint seams
Textile Components, such as upper members for articles of footwear, include: (a) a first portion having a first edge, wherein the first edge includes a first portion of material engaged with a first seam support material via a first thermoplastic material; (b) a second portion having a second edge, wherein the second edge includes a second portion of material engaged with a second seam support material via a second thermoplastic material; and (c) structure to engage the first and second edges in an abutting edge joint (such as a zig-zag stitch). The resulting textile components may be lightweight and breathable (e.g., due to use of lightweight upper fabric), having a comfortable fit (e.g., due to the abutting edge joint), while still providing a strong, stable, and durable construction (e.g., due to the presence of the seam support member(s)).

STRAP SECURING STRUCTURE OF FOOTWEAR ARTICLE
An article of sandal includes a sole structure and a strap secured on the sole structure. The sole structure has an upper surface and a lower surface and an aperture penetrating through the sole structure and exposing an engaging surface between the upper surface and the lower surface of the sole structure. The strap is secured on the upper surface of the sole structure by having a joining plug assembled in the aperture. The joining plug has a blocking portion and a pillar portion connected to a top surface of the blocking portion. The top surface of the blocking portion has a plurality of protrusions that are in direct contact with the engaging surface of the sole structure.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INSPECTING UPPER OF SHOE
A system for inspecting an upper of a shoe includes an optical sub-system and a processor. The optical sub-system captures an image related to a work piece which includes the upper and a last so as to output image data representing the image. The processor receives the image data, establishes a work piece model that is a three-dimensional model of the work piece based on the image data, obtains a cross section of the work piece model, obtains an entry of section data related to the cross section of the work piece model, and compares the entry of section data and an entry of predetermined standard data so as to generate a result of inspection indicating whether the upper is normal.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH DISPENSED COMPONENTS
A sole for an article of footwear includes a continuous dispensed component forming a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is disposed directly on top of the second layer. The continuous dispensed component forms a medial sidewall and a lateral sidewall. The first layer includes a starting point where the continuous dispensed component is first dispensed. The continuous dispensed component continuously transitions from the first layer to the second layer at the starting point.

FOOTWEAR WITH REMOVABLE MIDSOLE AND OUTSOLE
An article of footwear having a removable outsole, midsole, and upper is provided. A portion of the upper may have a perimeter lip that may be coupled to a perimeter channel in an upper surface or side of the outsole. The midsole may be securely placed into the upper to further secure the upper to the outsole. The fit of the outsole, upper, and midsole generates a securely assembled article of footwear ready for user wear. In aspects, the removable outsole, midsole, and upper may be changed to customize the article footwear for the user.

Footwear
Provided is footwear that can simplify joining operation and reduce the time of the operation when a knitted fabric is formed into a three-dimensional shape. There is presupposed footwear obtained by forming a knitted fabric knitted with a flat knitting machine into a three-dimensional shape by joining left and right extended ends of a shoe tongue part and both the left and right positions of a sole in a front end portion of a main part. The footwear includes insertion pieces extended outward in a left-right direction from the left and right extended ends of the shoe tongue part, and insertion holes that linearly extend from both the left and right positions of the sole in the front end portion of the main part toward a heel part side, receive the insertion pieces inserted thereinto, and temporarily retain the insertion pieces.
