METHODS OF REFINING A GRAIN OIL COMPOSITION, AND RELATED COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING
The present disclosure relates methods and systems for refining grain oil compositions using water, and related compositions produced therefrom. The present disclosure also relates to methods of using grain oil derived from a fermentation product in an anti-foam composition and/or feedstock to make diesel.
Method for co-production and processing of biological energy sources by oil crops
The present invention discloses a method for co-production and processing of biological energy sources by oil crops, and belongs to the technical fields of oleochemical industry and biomass chemical industry. The method comprises the following steps: husking and drying oil crop seeds to obtain husks of which the moisture content is 5%-12% and oil seeds of which the moisture content is 30%-55%; squeezing and extracting the obtained oil seeds to obtain vegetable oil and oil seed meal; performing esterification reaction on the vegetable oil and alcohol to be separated to obtain bio-diesel and crude glycerol; performing cooking treatment on the husks and/or the oil seed meal in the crude glycerol to be separated to obtain oil crude cellulose and glycerol treating liquid; performing microbial fermentation or anaerobic digestion on the oil crude cellulose and the glycerol treating liquid respectively to obtain biological energy sources or bio-based chemicals. The present invention adopts bio-refining type recycling of industrial oil crops to realize efficient co-production of biological energy sources and obviously increase the utilization rate of biomass raw materials in agriculture and forestry.
Device for an electrical processing of a fatty substance of plant origin
The present invention relates to a device for electrically processing a fatty substance of plant origin, comprising a series of electrodes (1 and 2) and an enclosure (4), said device being characterised in that the enclosure (4) is provided with at least one electrical connector (5) placed on the outer surface (40) of the enclosure (4), a series of electrical connections for connecting each electrode of said series of electrodes to said electrical connector (5), with the current flow distances of the electrical connections being equal in relation to each other, and a first inlet (6) and a first outlet (7) for the fatty substance, and in that said device comprises a filter (12) having an inlet (13) in fluidic connection with said first fatty-substance outlet (7) of the enclosure (4) and an output (14) in fluidic connection with said first fatty-substance inlet (6) of the enclosure (4).
System and method for producing a sugar stream using membrane filtration
An improved dry grind system and method for producing a sugar stream from grains or similar carbohydrate sources and/or residues, such as for biofuel production, using membrane filtration. In particular, a sugar/carbohydrate stream, which includes a desired Dextrose Equivalent (DE) where DE describes the degree of conversion of starch to dextrose (aka glucose) and/or has had removed therefrom an undesirable amount of unfermentable components, can be produced after saccharification and prior to fermentation (or other sugar conversion process) using membrane filtration, with such sugar stream being available for biofuel production, e.g., alcohol production, or other processes. In addition, the systems and methods also can involve the removal of certain grain components, e.g., corn kernel components, including protein, oil and/or fiber, prior to fermentation or other conversion systems. In other words, sugar stream production and/or grain component separation occurs on the front end of the system and method.

Methodology for upgrading and cleaning of used tires, waste lubricants as well as any kind of oils and fats for utilization as feedstock in thermochemical conversion processes
A methodology for cleaning and upgrading any kind of tires (cars, motorcycles, trucks, etc.), any kind of waste lubricants (internal combustion engines, industrial parts), any kind of oils as well as plant and animal fats by means of removal of the inorganic elements (potassium, sodium, chlorine, sulfur, phosphorus and heavy metals such as Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn, Hg, Mn, etc.) and the simultaneous addition of new such as calcium, magnesium and ammonium, in order to produce a clean and upgraded rubber material, lubricant as well as fat/oil, which can be used as raw material in thermochemical conversion processes such as flash (t<1 sec)/fast pyrolysis.
