FOAM IONOMER COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment are provided including a foam. A variety of foams and foam components are provided. The articles include a composition having a foam structure, wherein the composition includes an ionomeric polymer and a plurality of cations, wherein the ionomeric copolymer is crosslinked by the cations. The crosslinks are ionic, so in some aspects the composition is free or essentially free of any covalent crosslinks between the ionomers. In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.

SHOE WITH BUBBLE CREATION DEVICE
A bubble creation device is disposed in a sole of a shoe and include a soapy water container for storing soapy water, a bubble blowing module, and at least one tube having two ends connected to the soapy water container and the bubble blowing module respectively and being in fluid communication therewith. The bubble blowing module includes a channel in a housing and having an outlet open to the atmosphere, and an air inlet open to the atmosphere; a blowing unit in the housing for flowing air from the channel to the outlet; a film forming unit through the outlet and communicating with the at least one tube; a power unit in the housing for supplying power to the blowing unit; and an on/off switch on the sole for controlling an activation of the blowing unit.
Layered foam sole for an article of footwear
A method of making a midsole for an article of footwear includes forming a plurality of foam layers, arranging the plurality of foam layers in a mold to form the midsole, piercing the plurality of foam layers with pins, and introducing heat with the pins to bond the plurality of layers together.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR INFORMATION ACQUISITION, DETECTION, AND APPLICATION OF FOOT GESTURES
Methods and devices for information acquisition/detection/application of foot gestures are provided. A method includes acquiring information related to foot gesture features, and sending the acquired information related to the foot gesture features to an electronic device for a foot gesture detection. The foot gesture features includes one or more of a foot pointing direction of each of a user's one foot or both feet, a foot touch state of a of user's one foot, and a foot touch state of a user's both feet. The foot touch state is determined based on whether one or multiple parts of a user's foot sole touch or press a supporting platform, the supporting platform including the ground.
Footwear with soles having auxetic structures
A sole structure for an article of footwear can include provisions for providing auxetic behavior in the sole structure. The sole structure can comprise multiple layers that may each have different types of auxetic material. The outsole can include at least one auxetic portion joined to one non-auxetic portion. Similarly, the midsole can include at least one auxetic portion joined to one non-auxetic portion. Apertures formed in the auxetic portions of the outsole can extend through at least part of the midsole.
Shoe-type device and control method thereof
A shoe-type device and a control method of the shoe-type device are disclosed. A control method of a shoe-type device including an actuator and at least one sensor includes estimating a posture of a user wearing the shoe-type device based on sensor data output from the sensor, and controlling the actuator based on the estimated posture of the user.
Structurally-colored articles and methods for making and using structurally-colored articles
One or more aspects of the present disclosure provide optical element transfer structures that include an optical element releasably coupled with a transfer medium and methods of making and using the optical element transfer structures. The optical element transfer structures can be used to dispose an optical element onto an article, whereby the optical element imparts a structural color to the article.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a midsole having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a peripheral surface extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface includes a recess defining a first opening in the peripheral surface. The sole structure for an article of footwear also includes an insert disposed within the recess and including a first material having a first gloss unit value and a second material disposed on an outer surface of the first material and having a second gloss unit value. The second material is at least partially disposed within the first opening.
