The first thermochromic material changes a perceivable state of the first thermochromic material when an ambient temperature of first thermochromic material is above a first pre-determined activation temperature, the perceivable state of the first thermochromic material being visually perceivable or non-visually perceivable. The second thermochromic material changes a perceivable state of the second thermochromic material when an ambient temperature of second thermochromic material is above a second pre-determined activation temperature, the perceivable state of the second thermochromic material being visually perceivable or non-visually perceivable. The perceivable state of the first thermochromic material is different from the perceivable state of the second thermochromic material.

A tealight cup for holding a combustible candle has a a side wall, a base with a flat central area, at least two bulges positioned around the flat central area, wherein the bulges have a height (h) of at least 10% of the height (H) of the side wall and are positioned around the flat central area circumferentially along a common circumference and have a total volume equal to at least 10% of the volume of the part of the cup from the base to the height (h) of the bulges.

Wax compositions are provided with improved properties for candles and candle jars. The candle wax composition includes a major amount of a foots oil and minor amount of a 600N slack wax. In one form, the foots oil is a 150N foots oil that is included in the composition at from 70 to 80 weight % of the composition and the 600N slack wax is included in the composition at from 20 to 30 wt % of the composition. The candle wax composition provides substantially no oil bleed and a smooth surface appearance with improved burning properties in terms of soot production, wax consumption, melt pool depth and flame height.

A wickless candle is provided, the candle comprising one or more sheets, the sheet including a first outer layer, a second outer layer and an inner layer therebetween to provide a thickness, the first outer layer and the second outer layer including a beeswax-based formulation, the inner layer including the beeswax-based formulation and a combustible substrate, the substrate including a plurality of fibers and a plurality of interstitial spaces between the fibers, the interstitial spaces retaining the beeswax-based formulation, wherein the beeswax-formulation in the interstitial spaces is continuous with the beeswax-based formulation of the first outer layer and the second outer layer.

A gel-type scented candle includes a container, a wick attached to and erected at the center of the inner bottom of the container, and a candle oil accommodated in the container, in which the candle oil is of a gel type made by adding a natural vegetable oil with a natural perfume and a natural pigment, and the container can be reused by being refilled with the candle oil by a user before or after use of the candle oil.
