The wick holder according to the invention comprises: —a base sheet; —an opening arranged in the base sheet, wherein the opening is provided on a side of the base sheet facing upward during use with a sleeve-like body for receiving the wick; and —wherein in the sleeve-like body is arranged at least one side opening configured to allow passage of liquid candle material during use.

CANDLING ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A DISK OPERATIVELY ATTACHED TO AN EAR CANDLE FOR USE WITH AN EAR
20220047425 · 2022-02-17 ·

A candling assembly for use within an ear canal of a person undergoing an ear candling process. The candling assembly includes an ear candle and a disk. The ear candle extends along a shaft between a first end and a second end. The disk is secured to the shaft, and the disk is movable between a closed position and an open position. The disk defines a pocket that opens toward the second end, when the disk is in the open position, configured to collect debris falling from the second end toward the ear canal of the ear and the user of the candling assembly. The disk is collapsed onto itself, with a portion of the shaft of the ear candle therebetween, when the disk is in the closed position. As such, the ear candling assembly is configured to be packaged for storage in a bag when not in use.

COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THERMOCHROMIC PIGMENT DISPERSIONS AND THEIR USE IN COLOR-CHANGING CANDLES WITH IMPROVED COLOR REVERSIBILITY AND BURN PERFORMANCE

The present invention relates to color changing candles and the use of encapsulated thermochromic pigments to achieve the desired metachromatic effect. The invention may include a stable dispersion of a thermochromic pigment that uses an encapsulated thermochromic pigment; an amphiphilic solvent; a dispersant; and an oil. The present invention may include a method for making a candle containing thermochromic pigment and fragrance that may include pre-weighing ingredients needed to make batch; adding melted wax into vessel; adding thermochromic colorant to vessel and mixing for 10-15 minutes; adding dye and fragrance and blend till homogeneous; pouring mixture into candle jars equipped with wicks; and allowing candles to cure at room temperature overnight.

Wax compositions are provided with improved properties for candles and candle jars. The candle wax composition includes a major amount of a foots oil and minor amount of a 600N slack wax. In one form, the foots oil is a 150N foots oil that is included in the composition at from 70 to 80 weight % of the composition and the 600N slack wax is included in the composition at from 20 to 30 wt % of the composition. The candle wax composition provides substantially no oil bleed and a smooth surface appearance with improved burning properties in terms of soot production, wax consumption, melt pool depth and flame height.

SAMPLER FOR A SCENTED WAXY CANDLE AND PROCESS

A sampler is presented for a sample of a scented, waxy candle material. The scented, waxy material is melted and may be diluted with compatible additives and/or liquid (organic oil or hydrocarbon), before being layered to a face of a bottom layer. A top layer (3) is applied directly over the sample and can be adhered to the bottom layer to form a seal. In another embodiment a peripheral seal, is formed between the top and the bottom layers. The seal is separable by a user pulling on a tab a portion of the top layer to expose the face of the sample to the atmosphere allowing the volatile molecules present in the candle to be released. With a repositionable glue as a seal, the top layer can be replaced to prevent further release of volatile molecules. A method is also shown for making the sample.
