Liquid laundry detergent compositions
A liquid laundry composition comprising: (i) one or more anionic surfactants; and (ii) a non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant with a degree of ethoxylation in the range of 1 to 10; wherein the total amount of anionic surfactant in the composition is in the range of 3 to 18 wt % of the total composition and the weight ratio of the total amount of anionic surfactant to the non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant is in the range of 6:1 to 60:1. Use of a liquid laundry detergent composition including said non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant for laundering textiles wherein effective foam is maintained during a main wash step and an easy rinse of the textiles is provided during a rinse step.
Low-foaming warewash detergent containing mixed cationic / nonionic surfactant system for enhanced oily soil removal
The invention includes ware detergent compositions which provides superior cleaning and removal of oily and fatty soils, without the production of excessive foam. According to the invention applicants have discovered that use of a quaternary cationic surfactant in combination with a nonionic low foaming surfactant can provide oily soil removal from ware that is superior to traditional warewash detergent formulations. Compositions for alkaline, preferably solid, warewash detergents are disclosed, as well as their use in dish machines and methods of manufacture.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITION
A fabric care composition is provided including water; a cleaning surfactant; a fabric softening silicone; and a deposition aid polymer, wherein the deposition aid polymer is a dextran polymer functionalized with quaternary ammonium moieties; wherein the deposition aid polymer enhances deposition of the fabric softening silicone from the fabric care composition onto a fabric.
Removal of paint from porous, smooth, and mineralogically fragile surfaces
Compositions and methods of the invention are directed to the removal of solid films, and particularly paint layers, from substrates, and particularly smooth, porous, and/or mineralogically fragile substrates such as sandstone. The compositions include cooked aqueous solutions of starch. The compositions can advantageously remove paints and other unwanted solid films from these and other substrates without damaging the substrate itself.
FABRIC TREATMENT COMPOSITIONS WITH ANTIOXIDANTS
Fabric treatment compositions that include a treatment adjunct material and certain phenol antioxidants. Process of treating fabrics that include at least one source of malodor by contacting the fabric with such fabric treatment compositions. Premix compositions that include certain phenol antioxidants, and methods of making treatment compositions that include such premixes.
FOAMING COMPOSITION FOR HIDING EXCREMENT AND AVOIDING SPLASHES AND FALLING NOISES
A foaming composition containing a foaming agent that is made up of at least one acid and at least one base. The base and the acid being able to react in the presence of water, producing carbon dioxide. The composition also contains an anionic surfactant. The composition is in the form of a loose powder and in that it contains a mass percentage of the surfactant that is greater than or equal to 3% and is less than or equal to 4%. In particular, the mass percentage of the surfactant is less than 3.5%, and/or a mass percentage of the acid and base mixture is greater than or equal to 90%. The composition allows a foam to be obtained that allows excrement to be hidden, and splashes, rising odors and falling noises to be avoided.
USE OF CELLULASE FOR IMPROVEMENT OF SUSTAINABILITY OF DETERGENTS
Detergent compositions with improved sustainability where the level of antiredepostion polymer is reduced by use of cellulase, optionally in combination with a DNase.
METHOD FOR PREPARING AN INVERSE EMULSION COMPRISING TWO CATIONIC POLYMERS
This invention relates to a process for preparing an inverse emulsion comprising mixing an aqueous solution comprising a water-soluble (co)polymer A synthesized from at least one cationic monomer and an inverse EMI 2 emulsion comprising a water-soluble (co)polymer B synthesized from at least one cationic monomer, optionally followed by distillation.
This invention also relates to the inverse emulsion thus obtained, a detergent or cosmetic or softening composition comprising such an inverse emulsion, as well as the use of such an inverse emulsion to improve the softening properties of a fabric softening composition.
SOFTENING BASE AGENT
The present invention is a softening base agent containing a compound represented by the following formula 1:
##STR00001## wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represents a hydrocarbon group with 6 or more and 24 or less carbons, and the total number of carbons in R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is 18 or more and 30 or less; and M is a cation, excluding a hydrogen ion.
AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS CONTAINING AMINO CARBOXYLIC ACID CHELATORS
A cleaning composition having an aqueous solutions containing amino carboxylic acid chelators comprising (a) trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N′,N′-tetraacetic acid monohydrate or salt thereof or (b) iminodiacetic acid or salt thereof may be used as an alternative for phosphates, NTA, and/or EDTA. The cleaning composition is used in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
