BREWING SYSTEM
Examples relating to a brewing system are provided. The brewing system includes an outer housing; a first tank and a second tank arranged within an interior region of the outer housing; a fluid coupling system arranged between the first tank and the second tank and fluidly coupling the first tank and the second tank; and an operator interface for controlling the operation of the brewing system. In another example, a method of brewing a beverage using a brewing system is provided. The method comprises: receiving, by the brewing system, an indication of a recipe via an operator interface; receiving ingredients; mashing the ingredients to form a mash; transporting the mash; lautering the ingredients to form a wort; cooling the wort; receiving an indication of whether to perform a fermentation of the wort or a transfer of the wort to a separate system; and cleaning the brew system.
LAUTER COMPONENT OF A BREWING SYSTEM
A component of a brewing system is provided, which comprises: a tank; a whirl arm disposed within the tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the whirl arm; and an outlet pipe coupled with a fluid coupling system; wherein the tank is configured for filtering a mash to form a wort. A brewing system is provided, which comprises: a first and a second tank, and a fluid coupling system, the second tank comprising: an inner and an outer cylinder; a whirl arm within the second tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the whirl arm and the fluid coupling system; and an outlet pipe coupled with the fluid coupling system. A method is provided, which comprises: receiving mash within a second tank from a first tank; circulating mash to form wort; transferring the wort into the first tank; receiving wort within the second tank from the first tank; and chilling the wort.
AUTOMATED BREWING SYSTEM
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an automated brewing system. In examples, a brewing system includes a variety of brewing components (e.g., one or more tanks, pumps, heaters, chillers, and/or sensors) and an associated brewing controller that manages operation of the brewing components. The brewing system may include an operator device that is in communication with the brewing controller and obtains one or more recipes (e.g., from a brewing platform) to be performed by the brewing system, thereby at least partially automatically brewing liquid based on the recipe accordingly. A user device may enable a user to browse recipes of the brewing platform, view the status of the brewing system, and/or control the brewing system, among other examples.
BREW COMPONENT OF A BREWING SYSTEM
A component of a brewing system is provided, comprising a tank; a rotary arm disposed within the tank; an inlet pipe coupled with the rotary arm; and an outlet pipe coupled with a fluid coupling system of the brew system. Additionally, a brewing system is provided, which comprises: a first and a second tank, and a fluid coupling system between the first and second tank, the first tank including: an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder; a rotary arm; an inlet pipe fluidly coupled with the rotary arm; and an outlet pipe. Further, a method is provided, comprising: receiving water into the first tank; boiling the water; receiving malt into the first tank; mashing the malt to form a mash; transferring the mash out of the first tank; receiving wort into the first tank; boiling the wort within the first tank; and transferring the wort out of the first tank.
Cleaning Compositions with pH Indicators and Methods of Use
The present invention provides acidic or basic cleaning compositions for use in cleaning food and beverage industry processing equipment and pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry processing equipment wherein the compositions of the invention comprise a food-equipment-safe acidic or basic cleaning compound and a food-equipment-safe colorimetric indicator of pH to show the desired acid or basic conditions during storage prior to the start of a cleaning cycle and after storage and during a cleaning cycle. The cleaning compositions of the invention are particularly useful in, for example, CIP cleaning processes.

METHOD FOR METERING HOPS PELLETS INTO A FERMENTED BEER PRECURSOR, AND SYSTEM FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
A method for metering hops pellets into a fermented beer precursor in order to produce beer using a system having a metering system and a pump. Hops pellets are supplied into the system. A specified quantity of hops pellets are metered from the metering system to the pump. The specified quantity of hops pellets is supplied into a beer precursor-conducting line or a tank filled with beer precursor by the pump. The metered hops pellets are supplied into the beer precursor-conducting line or into the tank filled with the beer precursor in a pelleted and/or granulated form.
