Footwear accessory
The present invention is directed to a footwear accessory comprising a pad and sleeve that extends from sides of the pad. The pad having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the pad is wider at the proximal end in comparison to the distal end. The left and right sides of the pad tapers slightly inwards from the proximal end towards the distal end. The sleeve of the pad is configured to be snugly worn in the foot, such that when the foot accessory is worn, the pad is positioned over the bridge of the foot.
Footwear upper incorporating a knitted component with sock and tongue portions
An upper for an article of footwear may be at least partially formed with a knitted component. The knitted component may include a sock portion and a tongue portion, the sock portion having a hollow structure and a toe area, the hollow structure (a) forming an ankle opening in a heel region of the footwear and (b) extending between the heel region and a forefoot region of the footwear to define a void within the footwear for receiving a foot. The tongue portion may have an elongate configuration (a) located in at least a portion of a length of a throat area of the upper and (b) including at least two knit layers that are coextensive.
Item of footwear
The invention relates to a sole for an item of footwear, and an item of footwear comprising the sole. The item of footwear includes a sole having a layer of material defining a frontal/toe region, a mid-foot region and a heel region, wherein the layer has a first major surface for facing the foot of a wearer and a second major surface opposite the first; and a securing means for securing the item of footwear to a foot of a wearer, wherein: the material has the same composition in each of the frontal/toe region, the mid-foot region and the heel region; the frontal/toe region and the mid-foot region have formed therein a plurality of cavities such that the average density of the frontal/toe region and the mid-foot region is less than the heel region.

Article of footwear with multiple layers
An article of footwear may include an inner knit layer forming a void dimensioned for receipt of at least a portion of a foot, along with an outer knit layer, where the outer knit layer at least partially surrounds the inner knit layer. The outer knit layer may define window for viewing of the inner knit layer, the window being located at an overfoot portion of the article of footwear, and the window exposing a portion of the inner knit layer. The inner knit layer may be movable relative to the outer knit layer at the window.

Insert liner for footwear and method of manufacturing the same
An insert liner is provided and is configured to be removably received in an inner cavity of a shoe. The elastomeric liner includes: a longitudinal portion; opposing first and second lateral portions; and opposing front and rear portions, wherein the longitudinal, lateral, front, and rear portions define a cavity having an opening configured below the opposing front and rear portions and configured to receive a user's foot; and a fastener coupled to at least the front portion and the rear portion of the liner while being bond free relative to a toe portion of the shoe, the front portion is configured to releasably adhere to the tongue portion to maintain the opening below an upper edge of at least one of the heel portion and the opposing sidewall portions and to define the opening configured to receive the user's foot.

Method and apparatus for improving human balance and gait and preventing foot injury
A method and wearable system and for enhancing human balance and gait and preventing foot injury through neurological stimulation of the foot and the ankle. Subthreshold stimulation for neurosensory enhancement is provided via electrodes or vibrational actuators, or combination thereof, disposed in or on a wearable a platform, such as an insole, sock shoe, removable shoe insert, or applied without the support of a platform, to the skin surface of an individual. Suprathreshold stimulation for therapeutic purposes, such as improving blood flow, is also provided by the vibrational actuators. The actuators and electrodes are driven by bias signals generated by a bias signal generator that is coupled to a controller. The signal generator under the control of the controller is adapted to generate a non-deterministic random signal, a repetitive pattern or series of patterns. The controller optionally includes a communication port for interfacing with an external computer for purposes of optimizing and programming the controller. The wearable system is powered by a power source.
