A kicking shoe attachment for use by the rider of a kick scooter having an elongated core with a flat upper surface with an upper sole thereupon, and an opposing curvilinear lower surface with a wear resistant lower sole disposed thereupon. Optionally a heel cup connected to a heel cup carrier plate is slidably supported in a heel cup carrier plate receiver. A latching mechanism allows securing the heel cup and carrier plate in a desired position along a major axis of the elongated core. The elongated core may be split apart horizontally and two or more springs, a block of a resilient material or a scissor jack mechanism may be placed between the portions. An opening may be placed in the upper surface of the elongated body to receive the protruding heel of typically a woman's heeled shoe or boot. A removable plug may fill the hole when unneeded.

An article of footwear, such as a high heeled shoe, has a resilient midsole layer having a thickness of at least about 5 mm which is formed in a lattice arrangement for providing comfort to the wearer.

Apparatuses, kits and methods for customizing one or more surfaces of an item of footwear (e.g., a shoe, a boot, etc.) are disclosed. A surface of an item of footwear may be customized by applying a decorative film thereto. The application of a decorative film may include the use of a sizing element, which may be specifically sized to a surface of a shoe that an individual wants to decoratively enhance. The sizing element may then be used to tailor a size of the decorative film, which may then be applied to the surface of the item of footwear.

A shoe has a heel as well as an embellishment fitted around the heel and which is detachably clamped around the heel. The embellishment comprises a clamping bracket as well as an ornament 11 which has the look of an artistically shaped artificial flower. The clamping bracket has a slightly conical shape as has the top part of the heel of the shoe, where the angle of the conical shape of the clamping bracket and that of a part of the heel are equal.

A method for modifying a high heel shoe to reduce the angulation of the wearer's foot includes obtaining an external pad defining an outer contour and having a top surface, the external pad being at least as large as the area of the toe region outsole that contacts the ground when a wearer walks and having a thickness within the range of one half inch to two inches. The toe region of the shoe outsole is cleaned and the external pad is affixed to the toe region of the shoe outsole. The outer contour of the external pad is trimmed to conform to the outer contour of the outsole.

Embodiments of an improved high heel shoe are disclosed herein. According to various embodiments, the improved high heel shoe can include an upper, a sole at least partially connected to the upper, a heel at least partially connected to the sole, and a platform including a portion of the sole. The platform can include an improved platform assembly comprising a plurality of springs located between the sole and a cover that engages a foot of the wearer.
