Single use manifold for buffer management system
A buffer management system includes at least one workstation configured to support a supply of concentrated buffer solution and an inline dilution skid having a manifold and at least one workstation to support delivery of diluted (surge) buffers from the inline dilution skid. The latter workstation also serves to supply ready-made (diluted) buffers to a bioprocessing unit. The manifold is in fluid communication with the supply of concentrated buffer solution and is adapted to be placed in fluid communication with a source of water for injection (WFI). The inline dilution skid is configured to variably mix the supply of concentrated buffer solution and the source of WFI to obtain a range of diluted buffer solutions. Processes for automatically identifying the arrangement of buffer solutions in a bioprocessing application use signals from various sensors to identify the fluid connections between components of the system.
Device of distribution of impregnated supports and associated method
A method for the distribution of supports includes positioning a plurality di tubular containers, each containing a plurality of supports impregnated with antibiotics and stacked, in a corresponding plurality of seats of a dispenser. Extraction of at least a first support from a first container, is performed using an extractor, moving the first support between a first position inside of the first container and a second position extracted from the first container. Collection of the first support from the second position by a collector is performed.
Transportation of the first support towards a culture plate by the collector is performed, the first support is held at least at the end of extraction, in substantial correspondence of the second position and/or during collection and/or of transportation through the collector, a vacuum is created between the first support and a striking surface using a vacuum holder.
Aseptic bioprocess package
An aseptic bioprocess package is provided herein. The aseptic bioprocess package includes a 2D flexible container including an interior compartment, a height having an upper half and a lower half, an inlet and an outlet, the inlet and the outlet being disposed on the same half of the 2D flexible container and a channel-forming feature in the interior compartment of the container, the channel-forming feature being configured to maintain a fluid flow path that fluidly connects the interior compartment of the flexible container with the outlet.
VENTING SYSTEM FOR A MIXING APPARATUS
A method of preparing a bioprocess solution includes producing a mixture of liquid and air by hydrating a powder separating the liquid from the air by providing the mixture to a first filter capsule and allowing the liquid to flow to an outlet across a hydrophilic membrane of the first filter capsule while directing the air upwards along the first filter capsule toward a second filter capsule arranged above the first filter capsule, and venting the air from the second filter capsule by allowing the air to flow through a hydrophobic membrane of the second filter capsule.

Provided is a method for decomposing peracetic acid and a method for culturing microorganisms using the decomposition method. The cultivation of microorganisms using the method of the present invention allows an effective removal of the peracetic acid used in a culture medium for sterilization.
