Athletic positioning apparatus and applications thereof
An apparatus includes a heel section, a mid-foot section, and a toe section. The heel section, the mid-foot section, and the toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the heel section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to an outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH A PULLEY SYSTEM HAVING A GUIDE PORTION
A tensioning system for use with an article of footwear includes a pulley assembly. The pulley assembly may include a first disc and a second disc connected by a central shaft. A tensioning element can be engaged around the central shaft. A ring element can be used to prevent the tensioning element from disengaging the pulley when there is slack in the tensioning element. The pulley assembly can include a guide portion that guides a tensioning member so as to restrict the entry angle of segments of the tensioning member.

HINGED FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE FOR FOOT ENTRY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a unitary midsole having a first portion and a second portion rearward of the first portion. A bottom surface of the unitary midsole defines a groove extending from a medial side to a lateral side of the unitary midsole, and a top surface of the unitary midsole defines a slit disposed over the groove and extending from the medial side to the lateral side. The unitary midsole forms a living hinge at the groove and the slit, with the living hinge connecting the first portion to the second portion so that the first portion and the second portion are selectively pivotable relative to one another at the living hinge between a first orientation and a second orientation. The groove is wider in the first orientation than in the second orientation, and the slit is wider in the second orientation.

METHOD FOR TYING OUTERWEAR TO MINIMIZE UNDESIRED LOOSENING
Disclosed is a method for tying laces on outerwear to minimize the possibility of their becoming loose. The method includes tying the laces so that the laces become tied tighter over time when the wearer moves.
ILLUMINATING FOOTWEAR ASSEMBLY
An illuminating footwear assembly directs a beam of light from the toe and heel portions of a shoe while being donned by a shoe wearer. The assembly provides a pair of shoes that include a sole portion, an upper portion, a toe portion, and a heel portion. A padding portion inside the cavity segregates the foot from the electrical components. A pair of forward and a pair of rearward illumination portions align to the toe and heel of the shoes, respectively. The illumination portion includes a series of light emitting diodes that are disposed in a spaced-apart relationship. The illumination portions are remotely controlled by the shoe wearer through a transmitter portion that emits a signal to a receiver portion integrated into the shoes. A charging cord attaches between an external power source and a recharging port in the shoe to charge the power source.

Article of footwear upper incorporating a textile component with tensile elements
The present embodiments provide an upper. The upper includes a textile component. The textile component of the upper includes a textile element and a tensile element. The tensile element defines a first segment disposed on a first side of the upper. The first segment of the tensile element is configured to attach the securement device to the textile element on the first side of the upper. The tensile element further includes a second segment that is disposed proximate the lower portion of the upper on the second side. The second segment is fixed relative to the lower portion of the upper on the second side. The tensile element further includes an intermediate segment that extends continuously from the first segment, across the heel region, to the second segment.
