The invention relates to antibodies that bind to VEGFR-2. The antibodies are used for treating neoplastic diseases, hyperproliferative disorders, and angiogenic disorders and can be used alone or in combination with other agents.
Gene editing method using virus
Provided is a method of inserting a polynucleotide sequence into a genome of a cell. The method comprises: generating a double-strand break at a target site of the genome; and introducing into the cell a virus. The virus comprises a nucleic acid comprising the polynucleotide sequence to be inserted or the complementary sequence thereof. The nucleic acid does not comprise a homologous arm or comprises very short (5˜25 bp) homologous arms corresponding to the target site. Also provided herein is a composition for inserting a polynucleotide sequence into a genome of a cell. The composition comprises a site-specific nuclease capable of generating a DNA double-strand break at a target site of the genome and a virus comprising a nucleic acid comprising the polynucleotide sequence or the complementary sequence thereof.

Chimeric reporter West Nile/dengue viruses and their use
Chimeric flaviviruses engineered to contain a reporter gene and chimeric nucleic acid molecules encoding the chimeric flaviviruses are described. The chimeric flaviviruses further include genomic non-coding regions, non-structural proteins, and at least a portion of a capsid (C) protein from West Nile virus (WNV), and premembrane (prM) and envelope (E) proteins from dengue virus (DENV). Diagnostic assays that utilize chimeric West Nile/dengue viruses are further described.
DNA complex, adsorbent, adsorption column, purification system, liquid treatment method, and method for producing DNA complex
A DNA complex includes a carrier and DNA immobilized on the carrier. 80% or more by mass of the DNA is single-stranded DNA, the DNA has an average molecular weight of 500,000 or less, and the DNA content is more than 15% by mass and 50% or less by mass of the DNA complex. The carrier contains an inorganic material. The DNA complex has an average particle size of 10 μm or more.

Fusion proteins containing a half-life extension protein, a linker, and a GDF15 protein are described. Also described are nucleic acids encoding the fusion proteins, recombinant cells thereof, compositions comprising the fusion proteins, and methods of using the fusion proteins for treating or preventing metabolic diseases, disorders or conditions.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING RECOMBINANT BACILLUS CELLS AND ANOTHER BIOLOGICAL CONTROL AGENT
The present invention relates to a composition comprising a) recombinant exosporium-producing Bacillus cells that express a fusion protein comprising: (i) at least one plant growth stimulating protein or peptide and (ii) a targeting sequence that localizes the fusion protein to the exosporium of the Bacillus cells; and b) at least one further biological control agent selected from particular microorganisms disclosed herein and/or a mutant of a specific strain of a microorganism disclosed herein having all identifying characteristics of the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against insects, mites, nematodes and/or phytopathogens in a synergistically effective amount. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for enhancing plant growth, promoting plant health, and/or reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts.
Methods of producing nucleic acid libraries and compositions and kits for practicing same
Provided are methods of producing nucleic acid libraries. The methods include combining single-stranded nucleic acid binding protein-bound single-stranded nucleic acid (SSB-bound ssNA), an adapter oligonucleotide, and a splint oligonucleotide, to form complexes including the splint oligonucleotide hybridized to a terminal region of the SSB-bound ssNA and to the adapter oligonucleotide. An end of the first adapter oligonucleotide is adjacent to an end of the first terminal region of the SSB-bound ssNA, and the methods may further include covalently linking the adjacent ends. Also provided are compositions and kits that find use, e.g., in practicing the methods of the present disclosure.
