LACING ENGINE FOR AUTOMATED FOOTWEAR PLATFORM
Systems and apparatus related to footwear including a modular lacing engine are discussed. In an example, a modular footwear apparatus including an upper portion, a lower portion, and a lacing engine is described. The upper portion can include a lace to adjust fit of the upper portion against a foot, the lace adjustable between a first position and a second position based at least in part on manipulation of an effective length of the lace. The lower portion can include a mid-sole and an out-sole, and the lower portion can be coupled to the upper portion at the mid-sole. The lacing engine can include a top-loading lace spool to engage a loop of the lace to enable manipulation of the effective length of the lace through rotation of the lace spool, the lacing engine received within a cavity in the lower portion.

LACE POINT
A lace point includes: a thin plate adapted for use adjacent to a shoe eyelet of a shoe and adapted to receive a lace adjacent to the shoe eyelet; and at least one constricted receptacle slot defined within the thin plate, adapted to constrict the lace, and through which the lace passes in order to secure the lace fixed in place and to which the lace is thereby further deterred from movement; wherein the lace point secures a portion of a lace in a shoe, the shoe being loosely secured upon a foot of a wearer by a lace maintained in an untied, fashionable position within the shoe.

Stretch fastener
A fastener having two strap ends connected by an elastomeric member is described. The elastomeric member has sufficient elasticity to allow a user to increase the distance of separation between the two strap ends by applying a separation force, while providing enough tension to return the two strap ends to close proximity when the user releases the separation force. The elastomeric member may also have an adjustable elasticity to accommodate different applications with different load forces. The two strap ends may each be attached to two connectors.
LOCK FOR AN ADJUSTMENT CORD OF A WEARABLE ARTICLE
A lock for an adjustment cord of a wearable article includes a body defining a first passage extending through the body from an entrance opening of the body to a first exit opening of the body, and the body defining a second passage extending from an intermediate portion of the first passage to a second exit opening of the body. The body is configured with a segment of the first passage extending from the intermediate portion to the first exit opening in communication with the second passage. At least a portion of the second passage is narrower than the first passage so that a portion of the cord disposed in the segment of the first passage is movable relative to the first passage when tensioned and is repositionable to the second passage where the cord locks to the body and retains tension. A wearable article including a lock is disclosed.
Catch mechanism for an elongated member
A catch for attachment to an elongated member and to control movement of the elongated member. The catch generally includes a body with one or more channels, a locking member positioned in the body in proximity to the channel, and a release member to control an extent of movement of the locking member. The catch provides for attachment to the elongated member to adjust its length. The catch is adjustable to provide for movement of the elongated member through the channel.
