An drawstring clamping device having a first member and a second member. The first member has a first member base, a first tower structure secured to the first member base at a first tower structure first end, and a second tower structure secured to the first member base at a second tower structure first end. The second member has a second member base with an aperture disposed therethrough. The aperture is configured to adjustably engage the first tower structure and the second tower structure.

Described herein is a flexible but resilient material comprising a soft outside shell and an internal flexible but resilient support core, as well as a method for constructing such a flexible but resilient material that can have multiple applications, including being used to manufacture an improved shoelace to help young children, individuals who are physically challenged, and/or who have a limiting physical disability.

A lacing system for footwear (1) is disclosed, comprising one or more shoelaces (2, 3; 16). Each edge of the upper (12) carries two gripping points, one (7(2), 7(3); 17) fastened to said edge of the upper and apt to obtain the opening of the shoe (1) and one (6(2), 6(3)) fastened to the opposite edge of said upper (12) and apt to obtain the closing of the footwear (1).

A lacing system for footwear (1) is disclosed, comprising one or more shoelaces (2, 3; 16). Each edge of the upper (12) carries two gripping points, one (7(2), 7(3); 17) fastened to said edge of the upper and apt to obtain the opening of the shoe (1) and one (6(2), 6(3)) fastened to the opposite edge of said upper (12) and apt to obtain the closing of the footwear (1).

A shoe fastening device and/or technique used to fasten a shoe is disclosed herein. A shoelace can be laced into a shoe in any number of lacing patterns. The two ends of the shoelace may be secured to the shoe. An overhand knot may be present when the shoelace is in a loosened configuration.

A shoestring made from elastically deformable silicone defines a constant taper between opposite end portions and a center portion, is narrowest at the center portion, and increases in size in an axial direction between the center portion and each end portion. The center portion may be configured with a length which is approximately one half of the total length of the shoestring. The end portions may each be configured with a length which is approximately one quarter of the total length of the shoestring. Each end portion may also define a convex end with a tapering cross-section in an axial direction away from the center portion, and may be colored differently than the center portion.

An apparatus of a footwear securing device, is disclosed. The apparatus includes a shoelace, wherein the shoelace is configured to lace through one or more loop holes positioned on the footwear. The apparatus includes at least two retention devices positioned on a proximal end of the shoelace. The apparatus includes at least two retention devices positioned on a distal end of the shoelace. The at least one of the at least two retention devices on the proximal end of the shoe lace are configured to be removably attached from at least one of the at least two retention devices on the distal end.

A lace including a stitched or printed center point indicator enables a user to visually locate the center point of the lace. The lace further having a pair of aglets affixed on the distal ends thereof.

A lacing device includes a lace body, the lace body having a length, width, depth, and cross-sectional area spanning the width and the depth of the lace body, the cross-sectional area of the lace body shaped such that the lace body is prone to folding about a middle area of the width when the lace body is compressed.
