Articles of footwear comprising a midsole with a winding and methods of making the same
Articles of footwear including a midsole having a winding wrapped around at least a portion of the midsole. A midsole may include a core and a winding wrapped around the core to form a plurality of loops. Each loop of the winding may include a portion extending across a top surface of the core and a portion extending across a bottom surface of the core. The loops of the winding may protrude from the top surface of the core and/or the bottom surface of the core. Methods of making a midsole having a winding are also discussed.

Jig for a shoe sole portion
Automated painting of a shoe sole portion of a shoe is enhanced by use of a jig. The shoe sole portion may be secured between top and bottom plates of the jig such that a side surface of the shoe sole portion is left exposed. Additionally, the jig is adapted to create configurable masking lines along the side surface of the shoe sole portion using multi-layer deforming layers.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SECURING AN UPPER TO A SOLE
Aspects hereof relate to a method for coupling a cemented upper to a sole of an article of footwear. Pairs of clamps secure a sole at a forefoot region and a heel region to prevent movement of a location of the sole upon application of a perimeter deforming force. Perimeter deforming implements apply such force to a bottom surface of the secured sole causing the perimeter of the top surface of the sole to splay open outwardly from the longitudinal axis of the sole. While the top surface of the perimeter is splayed, a cemented upper is caused to contact the top surface of the sole in a longitudinal direction from the heel end to the toe end. Once in place, the force on the bottom surface of the secured sole and the clamps is released leaving the top surface of the sole properly adhered to the upper.

Device and methodology for adjusting cycling cleats to create neutral angular displacement
A tool (401) is provided for adjusting the orientation of cycling cleats on cycling shoes (503). The tool includes a radius (415) having a first protrusion (405) extending therefrom; a pedal adapter (411) which is disposed on a first major surface of the radius and which releasably engages a pedal on a bicycle or cycling machine; a cleat adapter (423), disposed on a second major surface of the radius, which releasably engages a cleat on a cycling shoe and which is rotatably adjustable with respect to the radius; a second protrusion (407) which protrudes from the radius and which overlaps the first protrusion; and a handle (409) which protrudes from the cleat adapter.
