FLEXIBLE LEATHER SLICE BLANKING APPARATUS AND IMPLEMENTATION METHOD
The present invention discloses a flexible leather slice blanking apparatus and an implementation method. The apparatus comprises a working tab e, a projector, an industrial camera, an installing support, a manipulator, a matrix chuck fixture and a base. The installing support is arranged on the working table and disposed in a corresponding range of a cutting region behind a numerical-control leather cutting machine. The projector and the industrial camera are respectively arranged on the installing support. The manipulator is installed on the base. The matrix chuck fixture is located above the manipulator and connected with the manipulator through a matrix chuck fixture installing frame. The blanking apparatus provided by the present invention is low in labor cost and high in efficiency; and moreover, leather slices can be classified and collected, thereby saving labor force and increasing production efficiency.
Remote material yield optimization for leather and other heterogeneous material
A system for processing a work-piece including a sheet of material into pieces includes a production environment configured for collecting data characterizing the work-piece and for subsequently cutting the work-piece into a plurality of products; and a development environment separate from the production environment, the development environment configured for receiving characterization data from the production environment, developing a nesting strategy for cutting the work-piece and providing the nesting strategy.

Method for realising articles having a predetermined area and aesthetic appearance
A method for realizing articles having a predetermined area and aesthetic appearance uses frames to each of which a portion of material having a prevalent flat extension can be removably hooked. The method includes stitching or punching operations and cutting operations implemented on each portion of material in a first station, a second station and a third station sequentially. Cutting operations are executed on a first portion of material hooked to a first frame in a third station, while stitching or punching operations are carried out on a second portion of material hooked to a second frame and punching or stitching operations are performed on a third portion hooked to a third frame situated in the first station in phased relation.
Needle-point pen apparatus, methods, and systems for administering medication
A needle-point pen apparatus and methods for administering a medication. The needle-point pen apparatus can include a barrel, a needle movably disposed within an inner channel of the barrel, the needle having a tip and an elongate shaft. A driving unit is coupled to the needle and provides a driving actuation to the needle. The driving actuation causes the needle to reciprocate within the barrel between one or more extended and retracted positions. The needle being designed to at least partially insert the medication into living tissue. A medication reservoir supplies the medication to the needle for at least partial insertion into the tissue. A computing device controls the needle actuation and the supply of the medication to the needle for controlling administration of the medication at multiple different computer-controlled depths and/or locations of the tissue.
Method of flattening the edges of a swatch of flexible material to be cut
The invention provides a flattening method for flattening the edges of a swatch of flexible material from which pieces are to be cut out. The method comprises: establishing a digital representation of at least a portion of an outline (H.sub.C) of the swatch of flexible material (H); establishing a specific flattening direction (D.sub.i, D.sub.j) and distance (V.sub.i, V.sub.j) for each of the points (P.sub.i, P.sub.j) of the scanned portion of the outline of the swatch; and for each selected point of the scanned portion of the outline of the swatch, using a presser foot of a cutter tool, to flatten the edges of the swatch along the specific flattening direction and distance established for said point, and along a flattening direction going from within the swatch towards its edges.

VEHICLE INTERIOR PANEL WITH LASER-FORMED TEAR SEAM
An upholstery layer of a vehicle interior panel includes an airbag tear seam formed as a plurality of blind cuts arranged along a tear seam pattern. Each one of the blind cuts is formed by laser material removal at a plurality of locations along the pattern. Laser energy is delivered to the upholstery layer in a series of ultra-short pulses to form the blind cuts, which are formed in the upholstery layer while separate from a substrate of the panel. This technique is particularly useful with leather upholstery materials, in which non-visible airbag tear seams have been proven difficult to form.
