Article of footwear with thermoformed siped sole structure
An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole structure that is thermoformed to the upper. The upper has a ground facing surface, and opposing medial and lateral sidewalls disposed on opposite sides of the ground facing surface. The sole structure has an inner surface adhered to the upper and an outer surface that is opposite the inner surface. The sole structure includes a thermoplastic base layer that defines the inner surface of the sole structure. The sole structure further includes a thermoplastic outer layer integrally formed with the base layer. The outer layer has a plurality of protuberances, each protuberance has an outer face that defines a portion of the outer sole surface, and the outer layer further includes a plurality of splayed sipes extending across a portion of the sole structure. Each splayed sipe generally extends between at least two adjacent protuberances.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SOLE OF A SHOE, IN PARTICULAR OF A SPORTS SHOE
The invention relates to a method for producing a sole (1) of a shoe. According to the invention, to produce a sole with cavities in a process-stable manner, the method comprises the following steps: a) producing a first sole part (2) in a first mould or mould part (3) by injecting the sole material into a mould cavity (4) of the first mould (3), wherein a number of volume elements (5) protrude into the mould cavity (4) and create cavities (6) in the first sole part (2); b) producing a second sole part (7) in a second mould (8) by injecting the sole material into a mould cavity (9) of the second mould (8), wherein a number of volume elements (10) protrude into the mould cavity (9) and create cavities (6) in the second sole part (7); c) after the first and second sole parts (2, 7) have solidified: removing the first and second sole parts (2, 7) from the first and second mould (3, 8) and placing the first and second sole parts (2, 7) into a third mould (11); d) pouring a joining material (14) over at least one section (12, 13) of the first and second sole parts (2, 7), the sections (12, 13) of the first and second sole part (2, 7) over which the material is poured adjoining each other, in order to join the first and second sole parts (2, 7) to each other.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL CUTTING TOOL
A tool and method for cutting an object three dimensionally is disclosed having a lower receiving plate comprising a cavity that is shaped and sized to fit a shoe last for placing a shoe sole on that is to be fully or partially cut, and an upper pressing plate comprising a segmented sub-plate comprising individually spring-backed segments, further comprising a cutting blade substantially surrounding each segment.
RUBBER SOLE THERMOFORMING MACHINE
A rubber sole thermos-molding machine includes a lower mold seat disposed on a hydraulic actuator of the machine seat. The lower mold seat ascends and descends with respect to the upper mold seat according to the hydraulic actuator, allowing the lower upper molds to close and open. The upper mold seat moves between a normal and a tilt positions according to the turning mechanism. The middle plate horizontally moves between the upper and the lower mold seats, and has a push mechanism connected with the middle frame. When the pin of the middle frame and the fasten unit on the push mechanism are separated, the middle frame is stacked on the middle plate or the lower mold to move, facilitating the cleansing and material-feeding operations. The user can cleanse the upper mold without being hindered by the middle frame, assuring the safe and smooth process.

METHOD FOR MAKING SOLE STRUCTURE WITH KNITTED FABRIC AND SOLE STRUCTURE
The present invention provides a method. for making a sole structure with a knitted fabric and a sole structure. The method comprises steps of: placing a thermoplastic filling material in a knitted fabric, sealing an opening of the knitted fabric, placing the knitted fabric with the opening sealed in a mold, applying a heating temperature to melt the thermoplastic filling material of the knitted fabric, and restricting a shape of the knitted fabric via the mold to make a sole structure. The sole structure includes a compressible elastomer and a knitting texture wrapped around the compressible elastomer and fused with a surface of the compressible elastomer. The compressible elastomer is formed from the thermoplastic filling material after being melted and cooled. The knitting texture is formed from the knitted fabric and is capable of being directly observed from an appearance of the sole structure,

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING CUSTOM INSOLES FOR USE IN FOOTWEAR
Systems and methods for forming a custom fitted shoe insole. The method includes placing a shoe insole template plate proximate a heating element that heats the shoe insole template plate to a temperature sufficient to make it deformable. The method further includes placing the sufficiently heated shoe insole template plate onto a foam structure, placing a foot of a user on the heated shoe insole template plate, and applying foot pressure to the heated shoe insole template plate, causing it to deform to match a topology of the sole of the user's foot. The shoe insole template plate is then removed from the foam structure, cooled and hardened, and inserted into a shoe as the custom fitted shoe insole.
