A roughing system includes a roughing machine and an imaging apparatus. The roughing machine roughs an upper of a shoe along a path to form a rough trace thereon. The imaging apparatus includes a camera module and a processing module. The camera module is moved parallel to the path and repeatedly captures an image of a portion of the upper having a segment of the rough trace thereon each time when one of a first condition that the camera module has been moved by a predetermined length and a second condition that the camera module has been moved for a predetermined time duration is satisfied. The processing module receives the images respectively of different portions of the upper that are sequentially captured by the camera module, and is configured to generate a panoramic image based on the images.

Automated Production Line

An automated production line for transferring and processing multiple shoe members includes multiple transferring rail units aligned along a transferring direction, multiple handoff rail units aligned along the transferring direction and alternately arranged with the transferring rail units, multiple transferring unit each being movably mounted to a respective one of the transferring rail unit for transferring the shoe members onto an adjacent one of the handoff rail units, multiple handling units each being movably mounted to a respective one of the handoff rail units and being adapted to transfer the shoe members onto an adjacent one of the transferring rail units, and multiple processing units disposed beside the transferring rail units for processing the shoe members.

Controlling the Quality of a Manufactured Article

Systems and methods for monitoring the quality of a surface treatment applied to an article in a manufacturing process are provided. A surface treatment may be applied to at least a portion of an article. A thermal profile of the article may be obtained and used to determine temperature indications of different regions of the article to which the surface treatment has been applied. A standard model of the article may be obtained that includes model regions having model temperature ranges. The temperature indications of the article can be compared with the model temperature ranges to determine if any temperature indications are outside of a corresponding model temperature range. The article may be a shoe part. The surface treatments may include the application of heat, plasma, dye, paint, primer, and/or the application of other materials, substances, and/or processes.

Shoe Buffing System

An apparatus for buffing a shoe part includes a housing adapted to be articulated around at least a portion of the footwear part. A rotating spindle is positioned in the housing and has a buffing surface for engagement with the footwear part. A carriage is slideably connected to the housing and holds the spindle such that the buffing surface can be moved closer to and further away from the footwear part. An actuator is in the housing and in contact with the carriage. The actuator applies force to the carriage to increase the force of the buffing surface onto the footwear part. A biasing member is in the housing and in contact with the carriage. The biasing member exerts force onto the carriage in a direction opposite the force exerted by the actuator.

Shoe Making Method with One-side Cementing by Applying Powder Adhesive
20180116333 · 2018-05-03 ·

A shoe making method includes adhesion of an outsole and a midsole, and adhesion of a sole and a vamp. When the outsole and the midsole are attached, an upper adhesion surface of the outsole is processed by coating absorbent and by spraying powder adhesive, while a lower adhesion surface of the midsole is processed by spraying two-in-one primer, to achieve a one-side cementing. When the sole and the vamp are attached, an upper surface of the sole is processed by coating absorbent and by spraying powder adhesive, while a lower adhesion surface of the vamp is processed by spraying two-in-one primer, to achieve a one-side cementing. The powder adhesive is uncharged powder adhesive which is directly sprayed by a machine, without needing static attachment. The two-in-one primer is made of reinforcer and glue.

Multi-Axis Automatic Shoe Sole Processing Apparatus and Method of the Same
